BushnellH2O Waterproof/Fogproof Porro Prism Binocular

I'll give this inexpensive and simple binocular five stars because it suits perfectly the mission we have for it: Enjoyment of the birds and squirrels at the feeders we have recently placed out at the edge of our deck, from the windows over our kitchen sink. Sure, I have high-cost binoculars and rangefinders from Leica and Zeiss for the serious business of hunting, but this Bushnell product, for a fraction of the price, can sit under the windows next to the sink with no fear of the occasional splash. Further, the limited magnification (7x) is a virtue, because my higher-powered binocs could not focus close enough. We leave the objective lens caps off, since the binoc sits nose-down. Flipping off the connected rear lens caps takes but an instant. We have the critters in sight!

I was looking for a replacement for some 40-year old binoculars that I can take on a cruise vacation in a couple of weeks and later to take fishing with me in my fishing kayak on the lakes around here. Price is very important to me when talking about a purchase like this that will get limited use throughout a year. I caught them on sale for $59.99 and immediately ordered. They said it would take 10 - 15 days to arrive. I got them on my doorstep in 2 days! Once I got them out of the package, I was immediately impressed with the clarity and relative ease in focusing. They let a lot of light in and are really sharp. I am impressed with these and look forward to using them over the next few years. If they only last a year, I still feel like I got my money's worth for the clarity and ease of use. The neck strap is nice enough and the case is adequate for what I'll be using it for. All-in-all a great product and Famous Outdoors did a great job of getting them to me in a timely manner....Good job all around..

There has been an unfortunate increase in crime in the area where I live, and so I wanted a binocular to help me spot any possible threats or suspicious activity near or far away from me. This binocular does this job well so that I can observe from a safe distance and the waterproof functionality means I can use it in most weather conditions when outside. 7 x 50 is enough for my needs. I recommend this product !

These are good overall binoculars. Not sure how waterproof they are but haven't used them outside in pouring rain. However, I noted that if they are not in an inside heated space they will absorb moisture during cold winter days. I found this out as I left them in the enclosed bridge area of our boat along with another pair of binoculars. Part way through the winter I picked them up to look at something and they were fogged up. They cleared after a few hours inside the heated boat. The other pair of cheaper binoculars did not and never has fogged up. Other than that, they are very easy to use and provide a clear sharp view.

By far, when of the best valued binoculars out there. A little heavy but durable, well made with clean and sharp optics.

These particular binoculars are Supurb for the price. I ordered them for a trip to Alaska and having them made the trip so much better. We saw Dall Sheep high on the mountain clifs, Humpback Whales clearly from about 400 yards, nesting Bald Eagles , Stellar Sealions, Puffins, and Mountain Goats with their tiny kids running on a very small grassy knoll high on a jagged cliff. Trust me you won't miss anything with these binoculars. There were several Europeans on the same tour and they commented on our " matching" Bushnell binoculars. I am completely satisfied with the adjustability, clarity and ease of use. They came with a fair case dusting cloth and lens caps. The enclosed strap held nice and securely that was more comfortable than I expected. The shipping was super fast and they were packaged securely.

I ordered a like-new open box. It was defective: the left eye wouldn't focus.Ended up buying a Nikon Prostaff P3 8x42. So much better than the working eyepiece on than Bushnell for not much more money. The higher 10x magnification on the Bushnell was not useful as the 8x Nikon gave a larger and sharper image.Too bad because I like the old-style soft rubber grip on the Bushnells.Note that the reviews have many defective binoculars that would not focus correctly. Probably why there are so many open box binocs here. Open box is cheap, so maybe worth a try.I have had many good Bushnells, but this one isn't worth it.

Excelente calidad siempre con Bushnell. No son ligeros. Añaden bastante peso a la persona que los carga, pero asi es esto con este tipo de equipos. Se ve extremadamente nítido y dan gran poder de visión. Yo los uso para ir a la montaña y mirar las estrellas. Aunque están más enfocados a la visualización de animes.

Encontré estos binoculares con muy buen descuento, por lo cual los adquirí. Debo decir que la imagen es nítida, el cristal no se empaña y el zoom es ideal para observación de aves, en lo personal me costó la transición del zoom 8x42 a 10x42...pero no fue imposible. Asimismo, prefiero el diseño roof en lugar de porro puesto que son más cómodos de manipular y suelen ser más ligeros , pero tmb es cuestión de adaptación. Finalmente debo decir que por el peso de los binoculares es más cómodo adaptar una correa de arnés, el peso es aproximadamente de 600gr. por lo que al poco tiempo de portarlos es cansado si solo se usa la correa sencilla (de collar) que porta el modelo.

I bought these for general daytime viewing most for use on a boat. First impression is great quality for the price.
