**Q: Did anyone try to grow it?**
A: It seems to have developed a sprout, but not sure our climate or soil would support its growth. Never tried to grow it.

**Q: WHERE WAS THIS GINGER GROWN? IN WHAT COUNTRY?**
A: After the recent Consumer Reports article stating that almost all brands of overseas ginger they tested (organic & non organic) all contained concerning levels of heavy metals such as lead, cadmium or arsenic. It's due to the contaminated groundwater which contains the heavy metals which transfer to the ginger root. The supplier of this Ginger is actually an Indian Supermarket in San Gabriel, CA. They are not a farm nor does their Ginger come from US farms, it's sourced overseas, likely China or India. It is 100% not American grown.  Prudent folks should stick to US grown ginger provided you can find it.
