This is a step up from the plastic clips I've used for most of my life. It seems very durable and holds my hair nicely. I would say that it might not be for someone with fine hair. It could slip through the hair easier since it's a bit heavier than the plastic clips. It's a very pretty claw clip and overall a great purchase for me!

I like this gold metal claw clip for attractiveness and durability. It is pretty, and its metal may be more durable than plastic. It is curved and does not have any sharp edges, but it is a claw clip, so it does have the claw to hold the hair. I do not like this clip for effectiveness. I have fine hair, and the clip does not catch and hold my hair well, so my hair keeps coming loose from the clip. The price was a bit high for me at over $7, but acceptable due to likely durability. The clip feels very slightly heavier to me than plastic. The claw clip I previously had was plastic, and it broke. I liked it because it held my fine hair pretty well. I would wrap my hair up on top of my head and place the claw clip on top of my head. After I fastened it, the clip part (the part you press to open the claw) would stick up a little above my hair. I liked this because it gave my small round head more height, which I thought looked attractive. This gold metal claw clip is smaller than the one I had, which was not easy for me to discern from the videos. I was afraid it might be too big for me, but it turned out to be too small for me. It does not stand up much above my hair. The actual measurements might help, but they are approximate: The clip part you press to open the claw (which is on top of the claw part) is about 3/4" in height and slightly over 1" in length and 1" width. The claw part itself is about 7/8" in height, 3" in length, and slightly over 1" in width. It's a pretty curved gold clip that is likely more durable than plastic, so you might like it, especially if you have thick hair, but for my needs it is not ideal.

This thing is durable. I have accidentally washed and dried it and the gold finish still hasn’t worn off. I work in healthcare so I actually clean it with alcohol and it still looks brand new. I dont know how they managed to get the finish this durable but I’m glad they did. This thing is going to last forever. It’s comfortable in my hair all day. I have fine, straight hair but it’s thick and it stays out. The metal is heavy but not too heavy. It’s high quality.

Edited to say the seller reached out and offered a full refund for my purchase which was much appreciated and great customer service which is why I’m ha he’s from 1 star to 2. Hopefully they will fix this design flaw because the clasp is really attractive to wear. Original review: Ordered first hair clip and wore it multiple times and the pin in the middle of it came out of one end which made it useless. Thought this might have been a fluke so ordered another one and after wearing it multiple times (8-10 maybe) the same thing happened to the second one. Clip looks nice and wears well but there seems to be a design flaw because the pin comes out of one end. I have medium thick hair so it should be no problem for it to work and last. Will not be ordering another one.

I have very long and heavy hair and struggle to find clips that will be strong enough to hold it up. This was the answer! I was blown away at how strong this is and how well it holds my hair without falling. This thing is a savior! It’s not clunky and looks classy.

Not all clips are created equally, especially if you have thick hair. Many will slide out or cant drip a lot. These are the good ones! Great for super thick hair. They are weighty and well made. Love the chrome and gold colors. Initially bought to gift and ended uo keeping all 4. They are worth the splurge

Really pretty! But a tad heavy, so it slumps down a bit. Might need to learn a new technique for it. If you're great with hair products, this one is probably worth buying.

Aunque es mucho más pesada que una pinza de plástico, me gusta que el material sea de metal porque dura más. Tengo el cabello pesado, y estas pinzas funcionan perfecto. Además, el color me gustó mucho.
