I love this cook book. I was impressed with great quality full color pictures of every dish!! I've made quite a few soups from this, and they were all delicious!!There are so many different recipes it'll take me a while to try all of them!! Perfect little gem for a long rainy winter in Oregon :)I'm thinking of getting different ones from the same author. It is worth every penny!!

The all colour cookbooks from Hamlyn are excellent additions to any kitchen. They cover just about any home cooks needs and in each small but packed cookery book (as the title says you get 200 recipes) they hone in on one area of cooks needs eg Pasta, Curries and in this case Soups.They have great photographs to give you an idea of what you are making and the ingredients are easily available on any high street or supermarket. The introduction to 200 super soups gives you directions on stock making be it from scratch or stock cubes. You then have a vast range of recipes to choose from. The recipes are easy to follow, the key instructions are emboldened so that you can't get lost (not that you would as the instructions are concise and easy to read).The recipes cover soups from all around the globe, so you find Minestrone, five-spice duck soup and pak choi along with winter broth, and cullen skink. I absolutely love this range. They remind me of the bbc 101 good food range of cookery books. They are cheap and sit nicely on the kitchen counter ready to be used. Excellent to buy for students going off to university owing to their simplicity. Really great value, what more can I say.Comment Comment | Permalink
