The extra upgrade from a 60hz to a 144hz panel. SATA SSD to an NVMe SSD, 1060 to a 1070 Max-Q, and from a quad-core to a hexa-core is definitely worth it. The only issue I have is the GPU not working on boot if booted from battery. This seems to be a Nvidia driver issue as the one shipped with the notebook doesn't have the issue and only the latest three updates are compatible with this model due to the hardware id not being listed in previous drivers. All three of them exhibit this problem and I have submitted feedback to Nvidia regarding this and would highly suggest anyone who has this issue to do the same. I'll update if anything changes or if it stays problem free!Update 1: 4/22/18 (-1 star)PROS:- BEAUTIFUL Screen- The build quality and aesthetic is better in person than the review videos showCONS: (mostly minor gripes, nothing too deal breaking, but disappointing since this is a 2300$ device)- Gigabyte has some custom GPU drivers which had to be downloaded from their site since the Nvidia drivers don't seem to work right now due to hardware IDs on the 1070 not matching. This is somewhat concerning since I can't really test performance due to old drivers.....- A few of the keys have dimmer back-lighting than the rest of the keyboard- Very minor back-light bleed on the bottom left and right of the screen (only noticeable on a black image)- Fan noise is a little more than I expected, but I only wear headphones so its not a big deal for me- USB ports are a little tight but will hopefully loosen up over timeUpdate 2: 5/03/18- Nvidia drivers now work!!- I'm overall happy so far minus a few annoyances like ~90C temps on the cpu, but it is understandable- The tab and shift key back-light issue is due to the LEDs under those keys being off center and not due to QC, basically bad design on Gigabyte part ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ this is a very beautiful laptop with superb build quality *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2018* After much research, I chose this laptop due to the price point, physical dimensions, and technical specs. In my opinion, this is a very beautiful laptop with superb build quality. There are no creaky hinges and it just feels very solid. The performance is extremely good at high and ultra high resolution and overall, I've been very pleased with my purchase. There are 2 items that one should be aware of, though. 1. They keyboard still has a double keystroke issue, but there are ways to mitigate and reduce the frequency of that happening. 2. The computer seems to stutter frequently while on battery (not even playing games), but I'm still looking into why this happens.
