I purchased these to support my dog’s skin health as she developed allergies come spring. Her allergies at their worst manifested as crusty skin bumps and were itchy and prone to infection. While her vet provided the prescription med that disrupts her ability to FEEL itchy I needed to also adjust diet etc to actually heal and maintain her skin. I purchased this particular product based on other reviewers positive experiences. I was looking for something like this but wasn’t sure which brand was best. I can say confidently that this brand and product have changed fat Maggie’s (the dog) skin and coat for better! Her bumps stopped forming within a week or two and after a month of use the previous bumps and scabs were nearly gone. Her coat is shiny and healthy in appearance and she is less miserable overall. Notably she does not care for the taste of these which is strange given that she will eat garbage, rats, and cat sh!t. These crumble easily and so I just crush them up and mix into her dry food and add a little water. We are on our 2nd bottle and will continue to use for management.

I hope this helps any dog owner whose baby has Congestive Heart Failure. If you’ve been to a cardiologist for your baby, some may not tell you that you need to lower the sodium in their food, nor do most care to find out how much sodium is in your pets food, but to be fair, most are nutritionists. OPEN FARM PATE + this supplement was our dog’s low sodium answer! Available in Chicken, Turkey, Chicken & Salmon mix, a Beef mix and a plant based option. It is grain & legume free, but at this point, the salt content is what really matters. FYI: We tried homemade food and everything under the sun and this was the one he loved and I truly believe the combination of this supplement and food, has given us more time with our boy.
