Why can't this product  be shipped to Washington state?  I've ordered it in the past without a problem.  Its' the only product that works for ants.

In the past I've used the cockroach killer because the chemical was slightly stronger than the ant killer (and I was having a helluva ant problem!). Amazon had none for ants in stock. Try closely comparing the active ingredients between the ant and the cockroach type, if they're still very close by comparison see if you can order the cockroach type to WA.

The active ingredient is listed in the Amazon description for you to research if you like. I have made my own borax and sugar solutions in the past and it works but this stuff is the best that I have ever used. Like all insecticides, this stuff is toxic and should not be ingested by living things like dogs, cats and babies. I am a buyer and I will continue to be a buyer. It's not cheap but it works better than anything else I have tried. If you are nervous, consider making your own borax and sugar solution (almost any concentration will work) and if it does not meet your expectations, then buy this as it does work.

How often do you need to add more? Does it dry out in a couple days or do you just add more when gone?

1 inch of a line that’s all u need because is a ant gel bait , 48 hours or 2 days it will be gone.

It has a 5 year shelf life when store properly .  But not once its applied.
