Why is there no off switch and why do batteries drain so easily??

The text says "more than 100 hours" of operation. One answer below says "it eats batteries", which I take to mean you don't get anywhere near up to 100 hours of use out of a set of batteries. Please explain?

How do you set up the clock? Not the alarm, just the clock

I know that it is possible since I did it. As I remember the instructions were not very helpful. I am no longer using the radio because the reception was not adequate for me.

Cannot seem to get the radio to scan the wb channels. only does wb 1 & 5. these useless here. scanned fm ok

I don't believe that my version has any weatherband channels, just AM and FM, which seem to scan okay for me, as they obviously do for you.

Can you turn off the display while listening in a dark room?
