Who do I believe?** A: It works ok for hems and light fabric. Don’t use it on blue jean material because it’s not strong enough. It stops when using it on heavy material. You have to start and stop it then start again to keep it sewing. It works decent though. Make sure you pull the last stitch back and then tie a knot or the whole thread will pull right out. Basic sewing 101. **Q: Is this a good item for a young girl to make doll clothes and small craft items.** A: I suppose it would depend on how young the young girl is and how mature she is for that age. I recall, at 12 or 13 running a few stitches on my mom's sewing machine, with supervision so I didn't break her machine or sew my hand to the cloth. However, at the same age, and with this "stitch/sew quick", I would have probably taken it outside and smashed it with a ball bat out of frustration. **Q: will i be able to hem cargo pants?** A: It should be able to handle cargo pants. It is a basic stitch mini sewing machine.
