Would this work in a dell precision tower 3420

I don't believe that this power supply will fit the case. If you look at the picture of the 3429 supply on Amazon you will notice that at the end where the AC power connector is that there is a square recess on the one side - this supply is rectangular with no recess. Electrically it would probably work but you would have to see if it would fit inside the case.

Will this work with Optiplex XE2?

If suggest to carefully look at the specs from the manufacturer, I got it for a different model.
