The benefit of this little book (50 pages) is that we get some of the most pertinent source materials for Seið magic. Anyone wanting to work with Seið should absolutely read this text first. Once you have the source materials you can truly begin to construct your own system on good ground rather than dilute or distort your Path with modern conceptions of what Seið is or should be.Some sources quoted are the Poetic and Prose Eddas, different Sagas, Skaldic poetry, cultural histories, Gesta Danorum, enacted laws, and Arabic travel reports.The first 24 pages are translations and the last 24 are the source texts. Take in mind there is no commentary or expounding. This is literally just a book filled with quotes dealing with Seið magic.Is it worth fifteen dollars? That depends on what you are looking for. If you are seriously wishing to work with Seið magic than I would say yes. If you are just curious – probably not. The value in this booklet is to once and for all deflate many of the claims modern practitioners have regarding authentic Seið magic.
