Finally! Plugs that fit and actually work
the Decibullz Professional Moldable Earplugs, and they have exceeded my expectations in every way! From the moment I received them, I was impressed with how easy they were to mold to my ears. The instructions provided were incredibly clear and straightforward, making the molding process a breeze. The passive noise reduction is truly impressive—these earplugs offer ACCURATE PASSIVE REDUCTION without compromising on the FULL CLARITY OF SOUND. Whether I'm at a noisy concert or working in a loud environment, the Decibullz earplugs deliver exceptional sound isolation while allowing me to hear essential sounds with great clarity. I also appreciate how they accommodate both large and very small ear canals, ensuring a CUSTOM-FIT for anyone who needs it. The comfort and snug fit make them ideal for prolonged use, whether it's during sleep, studying, or working out. Two minor drawbacks, one is that they do cause a slight irritation initially, but I suspect I'll get used to it quickly. It's only mildly annoying and doesn't detract from the overall performance. Additionally, the L and R markings on the plugs melted away during the hot water molding process. To avoid any confusion, I recommend labeling your water mugs before you drop the earplugs in. Overall, the Decibullz Professional Moldable Earplugs are a top-notch choice for anyone in need of effective, custom-fit ear protection. Highly recommended!

Taking these to every concert
I wore these to the stray kids concert at globe life field for both days. The first day I was in the pit and could feel the bass in my chest so I put them on immediately and they definitely helped protect my ears. I didn't notice any problems with hearing the music or the members when they spoke to us. I heard that a lot of people were complaining about the sound quality at the venue and that they couldn't hear what any of the members were saying but I didn't have any problems - they were crystal clear for me. On day 2 I was farther away so I left the plug out for the first couple songs. I was then able to understand why people had been complaining the sound quality was much worse. I figured it was because I was farther away from the stage and closer to where the sound was bouncing but then I put the ear plugs in and the sound quality improved drastically. Normally I can't tell much difference between good or bad sound quality but the difference here was stark. Will absolutely be bringing these to every concert from now on just in case. The custom mold also helped keep them in my ears which is always a problem for me with other ear plugs. I did get some fatigue after wearing them for 3 hours but I was able to take them out occasionally to give my ears a break and they were comfortable for at least the first 2 hours

Good For Off The Shelf, But...
Overall, these are the best, by far, off-the-shelf passive earplugs that I've tried (Loop Experience Plus/Pro and Earos One the others). The Loop just sounded like a wool blanket over everything. The Earos One damped a lot on top and also limited some harmonic bloom, but I also perceived some distortion. I experience a bit of distortion with certain high frequencies at louder volumes. With these greatly lowering the volume, it left me wondering if either they were leaking or the filter wasn't good. Moreover, the Earos One only have two sized tips, and the larger ones were too big for my ears. These Decibullz are smooth sounding and let some audible harmonic development to occur. But the top end is still quite rolled off. All of the brands advertise an even attenuation across the frequency spectrum including these. That's just not happening, so if you're sensitive to hearing harmonic overtones and air, they'll be missing when using these (and I'm guessing ANY passive models, including custom). If you're just looking for a casual use earplugs to use at loud concerts, these would be fine. If you're a musician and/or really particular, they may not be. I'm going to look into electronic ones, as they may preserve air and harmonic structure better. One other thing, though relatively minor, is a mediocre design flaw, at least it doesn't work for me. The lanyard, used for carrying portabiilty, requires that the earplugs sound filters to be removed in order to insert the lanyard attachments. You'd think they would come up with a design that allows you to put the earplugs onto the lanyard so you could take the earplugs on and off quickly. The lanyard attaches to the earplugs with each end of the lanyard plugging into and filling up the space where the filters go. So it's either the filter or the sound filter, but not both. That kind of kills the ability to use them quickly when needed. The small filters, meanwhile, need to then go in a pocket or purse. So if you want to actually use your earplugs, you have to take off the lanyard, plug in the filters, and stow away the lanyard. That design sort of defeats the purpose of a lanyard. There is a carrying case. Might as well just stow the earplugs in the case until you need them. I see no real advantage to using the lanyard. (Of course, I'll feel like an idiot if I discover that I'm using the lanyard wrong, but I just don't see it any other way. At the end of each lanyard is the same size plastic piece as the filter. I don't see how both can fit in simultaneously.)

Good idea and design - but you’re still putting a hard plastic mold in your ear - and it hurts.
They DO cancel a lot of noice —- BUT —- bottom line, they’re pieces of hard plastic you shove down your ear. Sure, it’s rubbery and soft when you melt it to mold it - but it sets up into a pretty hard piece of plastic. The fact it’s custom fit doesn’t negate the brutal hardness. Also - the center of the earpiece never melts or conforms - it’s just a solid hard plastic pole (covered with a Christmas tree shaped plug) lodged in your ear. Last, when I finally did get a pair fully molded and fitted correctly - the core or “filter” is another piece of hard nonconforming plastic in your ear - and in my case at least protruded just enough to interfere with putting the helmet on and taking it off. In other words, as I remove the helmet the filters in the plugs get caught and these very hard plugs get ripped out of my ears. No fun.

They do their job, but hurt after wearing for an hour
The molding process was easy. I saw many reviews about the ear pieces being too hot to mold in your ears. If you follow the directions, and wait about 30 seconds, they’ll be cool enough to mold in your ear, and not burn. I bought these because I fly a lot, and wanted something to filter out the jet noise a bit but still be able to hear and talk with my coworkers. I’m able to do so, but I can’t have these in longer than an hour because they start to hurt. Therefore, not doing me any good when I’m flying for multiple hours at a time. I got the 31db version as well, but I’ll be returning those since I haven’t shaped them yet. These will become my backup ear plugs, and will likely continue to use the Surefire ear plugs since I know those are comfortable and also do the trick. I just wanted something that could be custom molded, but I’ll just go back to what I know.

I’m armed security for concerts and this is a life saver
While working concerts as security I need to be able to hear my radio and what people are trying to tell me this dose both my radio is plugged into one ear and the noise canceling ear plug is in the other it works amazing. No batteries and I can hear the music perfectly and what some is saying next to me. Worth every penny I would recommend fitting them twice however I found that heating up the fitted ear piece as hot as you can in boiling water fitting it waiting for it to cool laying down for a good 20-30 minutes till it’s solid again then repeating makes the best fit. It is much more comfortable and dose not fall out easily. Been using them for a couple months now no issues. The foam ear plugs work best for me.

Melted In my pocket
They serve a purpose, but fell a little short. Days after I molded the earplugs, I wore them to a concert. They didn't reduce a significant amount of volume, but did cut much of the high frequency. I kept them in for the entire night without any real issue. I keep them in the case with my key fob so they are always there when I need them. I went to use them again on NYE and they were stuck together. I was able to get them apart, but no longer has a good seal. I re-heated them and re-molded, but they are not quite the same. They now block almost no noise or high frequency. I will look for different set of earplugs.

Everyone should have a pair in their pocket!
Our hearing is one of our most important senses...and yet everytime we go to a party, a wedding, a club, a conference, a movie, a concert we potentially destroy it a little bit more everytime....and for some unknown reason we never think of just popping in a handy comfortable and very effective device to hopefully safe guard our hearing till our dying day.... Decibullz are brilliant...and everyone should have a pair with them at all times..just in case! An innovative and excellent product with a second to none follow up team.
