They easily pop off so the controller has full throttle range. Even with the governors off, the cars did not fly off the track. Also a neat feature is the lap counter. My only complain is the guardrails that come with the track. They are flimsy and frequently come off if a car bumps one or even if you as so much brush one with your socks. Otherwise, it's perfect.
