These do not work. Biggest waste of money. I bought them to keep spiders out of my house. Walk into my kitchen and what's sitting on the plugged in device?... a giant spider.

There's no noise coming from them at all, they are quiet. I would say they are somewhat effective, but not 100% with bugs.I say this because I still get nats and flies in the house. We don't have mice or roaches, and as for spiders I don't know because they don't come out of wherever they are hidden. They are easy to use, take them out of the plastic and plug them in. And 100% simple to wipe down if they get dirty.
