UPDATE ON RELIABILITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
This is the initial review I have the OYO, however I must update due to the following: After the company OYO Fitness replacing the Spiraflex Discs, I had the same problem a year later. The two 10 lb discs broke as seen in the photos. I attempted to contact the company but was unsuccessful. No working email. The phone numbers listed belonged to other businesses. There is a 3rd party selling canabalized parts and states the company is no longer in business. Their 3 disc kit is $100 - almost the price of an entire new unit. With no customer service and poor durability of parts, I can no longer recommend OYO. It’s too bad, because when it works it is a good piece of equipment. I am well versed in exercise physiology as I have been training for many years and also I am a doctor and taught Sports Medicine. After an accident two years ago I spent several months in a hospital and rehab unit and lost a tremendous amount of muscle tissue. I needed some exercise equipment to regain my muscle mass and strength. I chose to use OYO. Simply put, this is one of the best pieces of exercise equipment I have ever owned. It has variable resistance, over 150 different exercises, is easy to use and very well-made. This one piece of equipment enabled me to gain back all my muscle mass and strength and then some within a year. I highly recommend OYO to anyone looking for a good solid work out with a minimum of fuss. Any item is only as good as its customer support. While I give the OYO a five star rating, I give their customer support a 10 star rating. After a year of using the machine I started to notice that the 10 pound disc was providing less resistance than the 5 pound disc. I contacted customer support and within a few days they provided me with a new machine. This is the best customer support I have ever had with any item. So for efficiency, quality, and exceptional customer support, I highly recommend the OYO for anyone looking for a great work out.

Very nice, but too limited on maximum tension.
I am a 74 year-old man of somewhat more than average strength for a senior. Yet, even for me the maximum tension on this device is too low for half of my exercises. If this were built to take a four tension weights, instead of three, I would rate this a 5-star device. (I also think, compared to other devices of a similar nature that I have that this is somewhat overpriced but so be it.) I like almost everything else about this easy to use exercise tool. Maybe should I reach octagenarian life it will be perfect for my strength. (In my 60s I would have considered this device useless because of the max tension problem.)

For someone 78 wanting bit of strength training this is a great product
Deducted one star because 1) they failed to return an e mail on their site asking questions about doing the 10 week program e.g. show only three lessons a week. Supposed to do them every other day? Repeat them? 2) No suggestions when to increase the weights, and 3) the 10 week program if you do on computer or device does not stop to let you change positions for floor work vs standing. And at my age that takes a bit! But I just increased to five stars after receiving a detailed response to my questions and their planning to take these into account in future releases. As for the weight it is just when it gets too easy and a personal adjustment. On the 10 week program idea is to do this three or four times a week. MWF or MWFS. They note that for the leg exercises they provide a thirty second period to make that transition. For those of us my age...well....but as for floor to standing without transition they will consider that issue. Nice to have a company that listens. So have raised the stars on this. It is very well made and easy to use. Disagree with those who have posted reviews that feel otherwise. Of course this is not for the body builder or the serious weight lifter. But for the rest of us this is a great home and travel gym. That said this is a great item. I had a similar one much cheaper that used stretch bands but this is much, much easier to use. I did not get the PRO model (cancelled the first order) because my I Pad 2 would not make use of the IOS needed to operate. As for using on my i Phone 5S it worked but no sound until corresponded and they advised to take off the vibrate and then sound worked fine. I think I will be just as happy with the LE model at this point. I would suggest they add to the page on the 10 week exercise their warm up exercise which I keep in a separate tab. Combination works well for me. Overall for what I am wanting this seems an excellent light exercise gym. Will come back after using for a while to update if there is more to add.

Know why you are buying...
Have owned/used for 3 days, like it a lot...well built & doesn't feel "cheap". Operates smoothly, does work your muscles, resistance is good - 5/10/10 set included, can not use the 5lb by itself, unit must have a 10lb on as minimum resistance but 10lb (the resistance isn't exact, just a simulation of what 10lbs "would" feel like) isn't very difficult & would likely be too easy for males but is ideal for learning the movements and how the device "works". 15 & 25 provide a sufficient challenge for a good quick workout but also add a stability challenge as you're more likely to have the unit kind of sway back in forth as you squeeze it together until you get the movements down. It is not hard to "learn" how to use it. The extending balls/their cables don't get in the way and extend smoothly - I only really felt any kind of resistance from them when adding all 25lbs but overall shoulders felt looser & they do add to the overall value of the unit itself. If you're looking at this to build mass, you're going to be disappointed. If you're looking at this as an effective leg workout, you'll probably be disappointed. I have the leg straps, just know that in the long run I won't be using them. The "lower body" exercises can really be done w/o weights (like squats) or done much easier with ankle weights - point is, this isn't a lower body workout device...yes, it CAN do it...but in reality, you probably won't be using the leg attachments. This is a device that provides usable resistance to your upper body that you can pick up anytime of the day, take it with you in the car & give your body a quick workout to get your body warmed up, loose, activate your muscles and you will "feel" more aware & that you did just exercise - because you did - and this unit can be added to any cardio program pretty easily with a little creativity.

limited features and range of motion
it is an interesting work out product and for few exercises, such as arm, chest and shoulder, it does work in some degrees. Of course, being so compact and portable, you really can not ask for so many things, but it works for few exercises. it comes with only 25 pounds max and honestly it is too weak to do all proper exercises, specially for people who is rather strong and been exercising for a while. I just hope that it can come with 45 or 55 pounds of flex weights. 25 pounds is probably good for little teenagers or female. good concept, but falls short in many areas.

A terrific buy at anytime especially now when access to gym is limited at best
I goto gym regularly for weight training. OYO has been a life saver during the lockdown and have been able to avoid feeling sluggish when you stop doing weights for more than 2-3 weeks. . I have been following their workout routines on YouTube. I have been able to maintain my muscle mass if not increased it during the last two months I have been using OYO. It takes a bit getting used to the OYO workout routines. It offers a good upper body workout . It is offers an OK core and the lower body workout. After about 4-5 weeks a small plastic/rubber tube came apart at one end which made OYO snap out when squeezing it to gather. While it was just out of their return policy on Amazon (4 weeks), the company replaced the equipment without any fuss. I like the versatility and portability of OYO. I am planning to keep using it even after I start doing weight training at gym again whenever that may be.

Loyal customer.
This is the second time I’ve bought this product and I like it. However, the plates should be all 10s; or, customers should have the options to buy more plates separately if choose to do so.

Excellent!
This exercise equipment is excellent. It is convenient and fun. I am a health and exercise enthusiast. The OYO Personal Gym takes away all of the usual excuses that people come up with for not exercising. You don't have to go to the gym. The gym is at your side. You don't need a lot of space or dedicated area in your home. It's small and lightweight. It feels good to use it. I have a Bullworker which I have had for many decades. I still have it and use it. However, the OYO is different. The resistance with the Bullworker changes as you compress or extend it. This can take away from the effectiveness of the equipment. You will find yourself doing static exercises. The OYO gym encourages smooth movements. I also have bands. These too will tend to lead to static exercises. Resistance training should be a part of your exercise regimen. The OYO Personal Gym makes it easy. Weights can be "heavy" (of course). But because of their mass they can also be dangerous if you happen to drop one. You can obviously still use your weights and other modes of exercise as you like. Variety is the spice of life. The OYO Gym is excellent. I encourage you to get it if you're thinking about it. It's worth it.

NOT A FAN!
Ive got a thigh master thats more comfortable to use. The weights or lack of ease to change the resistance is impossible to adjust. Think of the most annoying device you have ever used.... Now KEEP SCROLLING!!

Oyo total gym. One stop workout.
I'm impressed with the Oyo personal gym. I'm presently recuperating from hip surgery and I find it to be an asset. I am able to do a number of exercises while watching TV. Others I can get more involved in as part of my regimen. I can go from one exercise to another with minimal effort. No adjusting to be done except for the leg exercises when using the leg attachments. I can take the oyo gym with me anywhere I may. On vacation or to my trailer.

Quirky device at a premium price
As someone with a history of dabbling in many “home fitness” systems over the years, the Oyo fitness “home gym” caught my eye via its humble beginnings on kickstarter. After much deliberation, I decided to take the plunge (Se Model) & after only a few weeks use, I already felt this will be a fun & inventive, space saving home fitness product. As others have mentioned, the device is lighter than expected; the frame is made of a plastic looking material - true to its nasa used cousin, the creators opted for a light weight material over a weightier metal (although, respectfully I’m sure some would have preferred the weightier/premium feel) The main issue others are bringing up is the level of resistance, or lack thereof. Whilst the device is unable to provide Mr Olympia levels of resistance, high rep exercises are its main goal (as suggested by creators). Adding/removing “Flex packs” can be a little fiddly, but persevere & watch the tutorials in the app - top tip... download the Oyo app. Its an invaluable tool to get the most from the your purchase with lots of tutorial videos to help you use the Oyo Simplistic & intuitive with its design, the Oyo personal gym is a fun way to add quirky medium/high rep “resistance” exercises to a weekly home work out routine, especially for those fitness gadget geeks. Its not cheap, but a decent investment for those that are curious to add some quirky workouts to their home routines!

Nice, compact and versatile
So far pretty cool product very versatile and compact. Would be nice if there was a little bit more resistance or the ability to add more resistance to it, but otherwise I’m pretty happy with this purchase so far
