So you can take advantages of this book for progress your writing skilss. But unfortunately it will be useless for Toefl exam. I strongly hope the writers publish new book for aimed integrated writing tasks…** This book is very instructive and understandable. If you want to grade full score in the Toefl writing part, this book would be bery helpful. I added some photos so that the consept of book can be understood. I’m plannımg to buy Speaking book too.

I like the book, it is very useful and has many essay examples with the student writing and then the corrected form of same essays, so you can konw the weak pionts and how to improve your writing . It has also many templates, many vocabulary, and many structures. I highly recommend it.

Book was written by the test examiners. The book provides 32 essays from TOEFL takers and the same essays improved by the TOEFL examiners. This book helped me to have an idea of how my essay should be in order to get a high score in the writing section. I highly recommend it!

I ordered this book because I teach a TOEFL preparation class, and I thought it might be useful for my students. I think I will share a few examples with them, but not require them to buy the book (unless they want to). Pros: good vocab and phrase lists nice examples for "independent" essay Cons: no exercises or quizzes vocabulary not defined no discussion of the "integrated" essay AT ALL reading the essays will put you to sleep (or maybe this is a "pro"?) This book includes a few pages on how to write a good essay -- pretty similar to what you would get in any decent writing course. Then there are lists of common phrases, sentence starters, and idioms -- about 200 of each. For example, they include expressions like "hone my skills" and "gain an international perspective." As another reviewer pointed out, they make no attempt to define any of the vocabulary, although they do tell you where to find it used in context (i.e., in which essay). Then there are long lists of vocabulary organized by theme (business, education, urban living, etc), again without definitions. The last and longest section is several dozen essays as they were written by (fairly advanced) students, and as rewritten using the expressions, idioms, vocabulary, etc. There are a few teacher's notes, although they basically say things like "we rewrote this paragraph using more advanced vocabulary". There are no exercises or quizzes of any kind. The lists of expressions, idioms, etc could be pretty useful, if you are a person who likes to do a lot of memorization and flashcards. Reading over the essays might give you a chance to see what a high-scoring essay would look like, although they will probably put you to sleep.

It is just so good if you really study it. I passed the toefl and it didn’t only help me with writing it helped me with other section too. You should have it.

This book is super practical. The essays and TIPS are really useful. I got 112 on the exam and it's also helpful for the speaking part.

The book doesn’t deserve the price. The examples illustrated in the book is simple and unattractive. I read other books that is much better than this one.
