This does a lovely job I always put half boiling water into the machine bcz I did carpets professionally 20 years ago & we always had the client the night before put the water heater in high & then we heated it even more it helps remove skin & pet oil & dirt so it comes out better. I hear the water in my electric kettle put that in then fill from hot from sink. My sofa & carpets came out perfect & the new pan on bottom to clean the machine is AMAZING !! My old crosswave didn't have that & I had to go in the yard & hose it down & it added work to the day. This machine does not. I really love this & it's dependable. I borrow it out to my daughter & my neighbor too. I highly recommend this. I would never be with out a machine like this if you have carpet & a wet cleanable couch. You need this BTW you can test if your couch is wet cleanable get a thread from the fabric under the couch & take a lighter to it if it melts it's man made & you can wet clean it. If it actually burns not melting like plastic. Ya if it burns it's cotton & if you wet clean it it will brown out & be ruined. That's how we checked as contractors cleaning carpets for JCPenny. Always test if you don't know just to be safe.

High quality, everything can be taken apart and cleaned, sturdy. The way things clamp into place, you just feel that it's solid. Even the buttons are high quality, not cheap plastic feel. Self cleaning, auto mode, tons of attachments, wheels are grippy. I washed a rug that looked clean and this thing pulled out every single speck of dirt, every cat and dog hair in existence! (Probably not but it seemed like it) I swear I dont work for the company, lol. I literally have nothing bad to say about it. I've had cheaper ones and I had no idea how bad they were until I got this one.

I am very pleased with this carpet cleaner. I researched quite a bit, and this Hoover was often listed as one of the best consumer carpet cleaners. Also, its auto modes make cleaning very easy, and the self-cleaning mode is great! It is bigger than other machines because it has larger tanks, allowing you to clean more carpet in one go. I highly recommend the Hoover SmartWash.

Great on old stains. Love the self cleaning feature. Instructions could use more but it wasn’t hard to figure out as I went along. It picks up a lot of hair from the cat even right after I vacuumed so that was a great surprise. Totally worth it and reviews are correct.

I love this. It is so good. It cleaned my carpet so well like brand new. It’s little on the heavy side, but I’m 66 years old so other than that it works amazing and I love the cleaning station. I’m glad I got this.

I've used hoover for 25+ years. I thought I would upgrade to this machine because I have so many dogs now. Only cleaned on the surface and did not remove stains. Went over my room a few times with new machine, I have to say at first I was loving it because it was so much easier to work and then I used my older hoover and it did what this machine did not.

Best investment. Easy to use and cleans very well. Picks up dirt makes carpet feel fresh. Love self cleaning option. One thing I think could be improved is cleaning dirty water tank. No matter what you do there’s some water left in there and it has to be left outside to dry

This machine is powerful! Cleans and drys very well! And the pet shampoo worked amazing on urine stains! Also LOVE the self cleaning pan. It helps a lot with clean up!
