excellent product

This is a decent, well made product. The markings (on my scale, at least) were clearly etched on - I can feel the slight indentation of the metal where the markings are placed. The markings are clear and crisp. The color coding on each side of the scale is a nice feature. I would suggest that the seller take another look at this page and fix some of the product photos and descriptive copy. It almost appears as if they just used the same page for both their metric and imperial scales. Some of the pictures show imperial scales, while this item is definitely METRIC scaled. I'm not complaining about the product I got - I ordered a metric scale, and that's what I got. But people might be mislead as to what they are getting - even the text has some ambiguities. I do agree with some of the other reviewers in noting that the ends of the ruler can be a bit sharp. A minute or so spent with some fine grit sandpaper will take care of this, but I think that this should be done at the manufacturing stage.

This is a great metric ruler for the money! I did not have any damage issues other reviewers were talking about. I am not an architect or engineer but CAD and 3D print for scale model kits (mainly in 1/35, 1/16, and 1/48 scales). This ruler is sturdy and handy for my uses. Highly recommended!

This is a very nice product, and well worth the money. Being aluminum with etched (not just painted on) markings, it should be useful for a long, long time. Two criticisms that are mentioned are justified but fairly trivial. Yes, the edges are sharp. A quick hit with a piece of sandpaper solves that problem, and since the markings do not go to the very end of the scale, you can be a sloppy as you want without worry that you are going to mess them up. Secondly, the color tape was already peeling up a bit. This is simply there as a time saver, making it easier to quickly identify which of the three sides you are using. I took the tape off first thing, and put a dab of colored paint in its place. Since the paint is in a groove along the length, it should be a quick and permanent solution. I guess you could just glue the ends back down if you wish. Would not let these little problems keep me from buying this very nice scale.

I asked a question earlier which nobody could answer. I was wondering if the markings stay. I saw a few other listings with this type of ruler where people were complaining that markings came off within 2 weeks of use because they were just printed on the aluminum. I didn't get the answer so I bought it to check it out on my own, thinking if I don't like it I will just return it. I got my ruler and I love it. Markings are engraved so they will NOT come of with use. Quality is good. Measurements are accurate. The only thing that this ruler is a bit smaller than I expected. If I put it on the desk the height from the desk surface to the highest point of the ruler is only 2 centimeters. Even though it is a bit smaller than I would like, I love it, will keep and use it. Im happy with my purchase.

These three sided architectural rulers are a must have for any professional who uses these rulers. They are very well made, precise and made of good metal materials.

As a Structural Engineer I have used/ purchased many rulers in the past including steel ones. Steel ones are hardy however you cannot really draw a straight line as you can do with a plastic one. This ruler is the ideal tool to measure/ read Architectural Plans. It is really easy with this ruler and I can just draw the lines on the drawing itself as needed. This has been treating me well so far. I have a strong feeling that this is going to last a long time. For the price I paid for this I'd say that this is a Gem of an item
