This Works if Your Fingers Don't
The button puller is a bit delicate but it works great. The zipper puller is perfect. Both pullers fold back into the plastic handle like blades on a pocket knife. The unit is very lightweight so it is easy to carry in your pocket. I suppose this was invented for people who have arthritis in their hands. I have ALS, not arthritis, but it is perfect for me. I am happy I found it. Now if it only had an attachment to open zip-lock bags it would be perfect! Update after a month of use: It isn't shown in the photo but the button puller is made by folding a wire into the loop, and one end of the wire is loose... not attached to the plastic handle. So is you push the wire all the way into the buttonhole, the loose end can catch on the fabric (annoying but not fatal). To avoid this, I now hold the button hook with thumb and forefinger on the wire itself so I don't push the wire too far into the buttonhole.

Portability is the big feature here
I have a button hook with a big handle for use at home. But it really is too large to travel with. For visits to the doctor, physical therapist, gym and such, I wanted something compact. This item does the trick. The handle is just big enough to securely grasp at about 4 inches long and an inch wide. A short (maybe 2.5 inches or so)zipper pull folds out of the handle. It will work on trousers, jackets and sweaters, but not for the zippers on the backs of dresses. The button hook works just fine for small and large buttons. The wire for the button hook seems flimsy and I have some concerns about how long this item will last. But while it lasts, it is a very convenient portable solution, even if overpriced.Jerry

Two thumbs up!!!
I have had Parkinsons Disease (like Michael J. Fox) for almost 14 years. The last five years I've lost nerves in my hands so I cannot button and unbutton clothes easily. [It might take 1/2 hour to button the six buttons of a blouse -- and forget buttoning cuffs!] I also had trouble pulling up the zipper of my jeans. When I tried the Zipper and Button Puller (which Santa had thoughtfully stuffed in my stocking), I was absolutely delighted! I can now button my blouses, zip my pants up, and button my husband's shirt collars and top button before hanging them up -- even faster than before my fingers lost their agility.

Works well, but overpriced for what you get
I have problems with my fingers/hands and this works well for pulling up the zipper, although it looks like it's made of cheap materials. (Still, it has held up to repeated use, so giving it 4 stars.) I haven't used the button holer, so can't really review that part of it. I think this is very overpriced for what you get. But, when you can't find anything else...you buy it.

This devise is easier to use because it slips through a button hole easily by collapsing and then reforms in a wider loop ...
Not exactly what I was looking for. The solid wire loop is difficult for the user to get through a button hole and then to loop around a button. The problem seems to be that the form of the wire loop - a narrow section at the tip with a wider section behind it - is difficult to get through a button hole and then around a button . I have seen pullers with a loop formed out of narrow metal cable. This devise is easier to use because it slips through a button hole easily by collapsing and then reforms in a wider loop on the other side of the button hole. This wider loop is easier to get around the button and then pulls easily through the button hole. This wider loop is then much easier to remove from the button.
