It doesn't but this is the official replacement. I just bought another one from them. It worked perfectly.

Does it fits on a 2001vw jetta?

If your 4 cylinder Jetta has a one coil pack for all 4 spark plugs, it should fit without a problem. The power connector should be the same. The one I purchased worked flawlessly on a newer 2015 model 4 cylinder Jetta. Continue to verify, don't take my word, the power connector might be different.
