YuanLey 8-Port 2.5GbE and 1xSFP+ Switch : Reliable Performance : A Great Find Under $100
The media could not be loaded. I've been using the YuanLey 8x2.5GbE and 1xSFP+ switch since August 2023, and I'm thrilled to report that it has performed flawlessly. I had a spare 10G QSFPTEK SFP+ copper module that I used with CAT8 cables, and it worked seamlessly with this switch. Additionally, I tested it with a new 10G SFP+ DAC Twinax Cable, Passive, and it performed without a hitch. The compatibility and performance exceeded my expectations. What stands out most is the incredible value this switch offers for under $100. The ability to handle multiple high-speed connections at this price point is remarkable. I've extensively tested this switch with my NAS storage, Homelab servers, and access points, and I'm pleased to report that no issues were encountered.Even during extended use, the switch's temperature remains at room temperature, which is a testament to its reliability and efficiency. I'm extremely pleased with its performance and versatility. Here's hoping this switch continues to deliver for a long time to come.

A good inexpensive 2.5GbE switch
I received my 8x2.5GbE and 1xSFP+ switch yesterday. I already had a spare 10G QSFPTEK SFP+ copper module. So I installed that in the YuanLey switch. It is working great in the switch. So far, I have been able to get 9+ Gbps speeds into the switch. And I currently have six old unRAID setups attached to the 2.5GbE ports. And with data moving to them concurrently, I am exceeding 9+ Gbps throughput. The unRAD setups are very old(N36L, N40L,a nd N54L CPUs). So they can't get higher than 1.6gbps throughput, with their 2.5GbE cards. But I was able to transfer data to all six unRAIDs concurrently, and exceeded 9Gbps throughput, in the SFP+ port. With the QSFPTEK 10G copper module. So for the under $100 price, I am extremely pleased. Hopefully the switch lasts a long time. But I did purchase the four year extended warranty, just in case.

Working but fiber link has been defaulted to 1G connection
I've recently installed this switch in my structured wiring panel in my home and have a five port MokerLink managed switch connected to it via fiber and 10G SFPs. Despite purchasing the correct SFPs and both switches being compliant, the link between the two has unfortunately defaulted to a 1G connection. I am troubleshooting to determine the culprit but can only give this four stars in the meantime. Despite this issue, everything else is working perfectly fine and 2.5gb devices in my home are connecting to it properly.

Does exactly what you'd expect.
It's an unmanaged 2.5GB switch. I don't know what to say, except it's been reliable, and does exactly what you'd expect it to at an affordable price.

Cheap Product + Poor Performance = Nightmare
I wish I could give this product a zero-star rating. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t allow it. Mounting is unnecessarily complicated—especially since it doesn't come with the necessary screws or mounting accessories. Additionally, the ethernet connection is quite unstable. I swapped it out with my personal Netgear ethernet switch, and my connection was fine. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! The amount of money you save with this switch is not worth the headache. I'd much rather recommend an ethernet switch from more reputable brands like Netgear, TP-link, and CISCO. The upfront cost is slightly higher, but at least you have the peace of mind to know that it will work. PLEASE READ THE OTHER 1-STAR REVIEWS AS WELL.

Great for a simple cheap bandwidth upgrade
So far, this switch works well. I tried a couple different DAC cables for the uplink and it didn't have a problem with any of them. I hooked up two servers with 2.5gig ports to it and iPerf showed 2.3gig, and I received the same between a 10gig connected server and one of the 2.5gig devices. I have my MTU set at 9000 while doing this, so it seems to be passing jumbo packets.I will note that if you are hoping this switch will pass VLANs through transparently, that it does not, at least for me. This isn't a fault in the switch itself, nothing in the specs said it would.
