I will say that this wooden gate did smell pretty bad when we got it, but leaving it outside on our deck for a couple weeks got rid the odor. Taking one star off because of the smell, but otherwise, this is a beautiful, nicely crafted gate! We used it in our front bay window to stop our dog from scratching up the window sill and screens, and it works perfectly for that, plus it looks nice. This is exactly what we needed - well worth the price.

This is exactly what I envisioned when looking for something to hide the open portion of my desk. This is pretty and will be easy to clean/dust. It's solid and stands up on its own even as a straight wall.

These are so cool ! I had another style and liked it a lot but then I got these… definitely my favorite. I’m using them to keep my 2 small dogs off of the living room carpet. These do the trick and look great doing it.Definitely recommend.

The structural integrity and overall quality of this gate are impressive. However, I must give it a one-star rating due to significant issues with its finish. Upon unboxing, I was immediately met with an overwhelming odor of wood stain, suggesting that it was stained and packaged without sufficient time to cure. Additionally, the surface was covered in a sticky residue, further indicating that the stain was applied too heavily and did not properly set.Hoping to alleviate the issue, I left the gate outdoors to air out for a full day. Unfortunately, as soon as I brought it inside, the strong chemical odor quickly filled my living space. This posed a serious problem, as the gate was intended to create a private area for my rescue bird. Birds are highly sensitive to airborne chemicals such as cleaners, paints, and wood stains, which can be hazardous or even fatal to them. Given this risk, I could not safely use the product near my pet.In an attempt to remedy the situation, I tried wiping down the gate, only to find that the stain was still transferring onto the cloth—clear evidence that it had not been properly sealed or dried. The only possible solution would be to sand it down and refinish it myself, but for a product priced at $100, that should not be necessary.To make matters worse, since I have already discarded the packaging, returning the gate would require additional expenses, particularly due to its size and weight, making the return process impractical. This is highly disappointing, as the gate is visually appealing and well-constructed, but ultimately unusable due to the lingering toxicity of the stain.

This gate is made of great material… however it’s pictured with feet but didn’t come with feet and my Doberman figured out how to push it.

I was searching for small wooden screens as coverage for my windows. I came across these dog gates and they’re exactly what I envisioned. I removed the middle hinges so I have a section for each window. I love the way they look. I may add sheer fabric to the back.
