The problem is, it is almost impossible to open. It did not have that handy push button, which is my fault for not noticing during the description. At first, I thought it was broken, but I tried pushing the slide all the way to the top and it finally latched and stayed in place, but it was so hard and then it took two hands and some struggling to release it to put it back down. It is lightweight and it really did reduce the temperature by 10 degrees, I think. I live in South Texas and it was definitely cooler under that umbrella. Also, I ordered the one with the Cat, but it had a fish on the other side. I did notice when I relooked at the website that it had a fish, but I don't know why. I don't like the fish on the other side, and in the description, it only talks about the cat. I considered sending it back because it was broken, but once I was able to get it open, I realized it wasn't broken and just difficult to open, I figured I would keep it and just struggle with it. I think it is too small to be good in the rain, but it is okay for shade...plus, I wouldn't want to be wrestling with it to open and close it in the rain. It was not a bad price and I have not carried it on a very windy day so I don't know if it is windproof. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and dependable *by G***C on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2016* I took this umbrella with me on my two week trip to Japan and it withstood my abuse from using it daily in the sun and survived the typhoon that swept through (saw SO many people's umbrellas inside-out, this one never did). It kept the hot sun off me and was easily stowed in my tote bag. My only wish is that it had a button to auto-open...OH and that the strap was a bit longer!! I was so afraid it would rip off (the strap to close the umbrella), however, it didn't. You can see in my picture the strain on the strap.
