I didn’t know they existed until I started looking for mirror hanging screws. I’d already drilled the holes and had great difficulty in hanging a large mirror on regular screws as stated by the manufacturer. I didn’t want to buy brackets because it meant drilling more holes or my measurements being out. This did the job perfectly. It went in the original hole and allowed the mirror rings to be hung at the same height. Very strong. Review: Good for hanging a heavy picture. - I used these on a solid brick wall, using an appropriate plug. They provide a great fixing for a larger than average picture. However, I’m unsure if they would work on a cavity wall as I have no experience. I would use them again. The screws are strong enough but if the wall isn't strong enough (plaster) it might pull away from it. You might be better off buying a TV mount as they have more mounting points on the wall and spread the weight. **Q: What is the max weight the 5.2x50mm hooks can support ? What size bit is the plug?** A: I don’t know but ours are holding a huge 100ml mirror which is heavy. Think the size we used is 6ml **Q: What length are these? Does the 50mm length include the screw part or is it just shank.** A: The shank is NOT fully threaded but has enough thread for a raw plug I used them for heavy shelving and they did the job admirably Hope this helps **Q: Are these galvanised steel that won’t rust** A: The item seems too 'smooth' for normal galvanizing, but the colour suggests it is!
