Great toy, but...it's even better than I originally thought!
The original 2 paragraphs of my review are below, but I'm updating it because I just ordered more ferrets from Amazon and have a newly thrilled cat. I'm pretty happy myself to have found them because the Vo-Toys version of Frederico Ferret is not available anywhere and I was told that Vo-Toys had stopped making them. The ones that came yesterday are called Frankie Ferret and there is a different manufacturer, but it's still the furry, rattling ferret that my cat loves. Some of the later ones I had held up better than the first two I wrote about below, and I'm hoping the ones I just received hold up as well. Whatever happens, the toy is such a hit with Twink that it''s worth the money.Original review:My one cat *loved* this toy. He wouldn't let the other cat near it--the ferret was Twink's--he found it on the kitchen counter before we had a chance to disconnect it from the cardboard. I can only assume that he believed he killed it, so it was his prey. Unfortunately, Twink also "devoured" his prey the same day he found it. Unbelievably, the plastic eyes and felt ears stayed on the whole time, but he loosened the fur and crunched the plastic inner body so badly that I took the shakers out of it. When we threw it away, we put it in a wastebasket w/ a lid so he wouldn't try to get it again. Saying all that, Twink loved the toy so much that we went back to the store and bought 3 more. We gave Twink one of them this afternoon, and somehow separated the tail from the body, but the body stayed intact--so far. Most cats aren't as rough as Twink. He loves to play with the rings from milk bottle caps, but last night he threw up parts of the blue plastic ring he had been given last (and I do mean the *last* ring he'll ever be given). I would have given the ferret 5+ stars if it weren't for the quickness with which Twink destroyed it. Also, the ferrets we bought were much less expensive than this advertised price and look like the pictures posted by the other Amazon customer. It was made by the manufacturer as advertised here.

My ferrets love this toy
The media could not be loaded. Many of my ferrets have loved this toy. I’ve purchased about 6 throughout the years. The rabbit fur is wrapped around a hollow plastic tube with some sort of rattle inside. Light weight and very fluffy. Only downfall is that the eyes pop off easily.

The one I received was terrible
I have purchased these numerous times for my cat over the years. This last one I received had a super thin hard plastic inside that after him biting it twice kind of broke into shards inside. They were sharp. Usually he has them for months and just bites tiny holes into the plastic inside but this one was brittle and disintergrated within five min. I had to throw it away as I was worried he would be cut or swallow some. It literally cut the skin on the fur covering and started coming out. May have been a faulty one or they have changed the inside piece to a cheaper harder version. Previous ones I have purchased were a more pliable plastic under the fur. Very disappointed as my senior cat has always loved these and they are his favorite toy. He looked so sad and confused when I had to take it away from him.

Kitties love it!
My cats LOVE toys made of real rabbits fur. I have tried toys with synthetic fur. It never pleases them as much as the "real" thing. This toy is made of real fur and they love it! I rattle it (it has rattles in the inside) and they come running to play. It is a bit stiff because under the fur the body is made of plastic. But this is fine. They still carry it around like they just caught prey. Overall, my cats and I are very pleased with this purchase!

Made very well.
Cats favorite toy. It’s hard to find in stores. She ripped the tail off her original one. I bought her this one & she was so happy. The tail is still on a few months later. it’s well made and arrived on time.

Federico the Ferret is my cats’ all-time fave toy!
My cats have had one of these Federicos since kittenhood, and he has lasted for about 13 years. They toss him in the air and drag him around and he’s always laying on the floor somewhere. I just recently ended up stepping on him, crushing the fragile plastic inner structure of him that houses the rattle part and in effect, destroying him. They were both visibly sad over it, so I looked on Amazon not sure if I’d find him- but it’s freaking Amazon, so of course I did. I got them each one this time around. These are just exactly the same as the original. There’s something about the rabbit fur and weight of them that cats really seem to like. They don’t cost much and don’t collect dust and debris like some of the cloth and fake fur toys they have, so would def recommend!

My cat totally ate these.
I bought 2 because I used to get Fernando Ferrets at Family $ for a dollar each. My cat loves them. This one had more realistic fur, possibly rabbit fur. My cat destroyed 17 dollars worth of ferrets in 30 minutes! Stripped the fur clean off of them. He still has the tail to one of them.

Not that great
My cat liked it for a while and then got tired of it. Unless you throw it I don't think a cat would be interested. You can't even hear the beads inside. This might be okay for a kitten but not a cat.
