I ordered 2 sets of 40 a total of 80 sets of the mixed 3 onions... no need to say anymore... I would of liked it spilt more evenly between the three onions... the RED and White Onions look shabby but I think I can maybe pull something together... I'll update this review...So I have all 75 bulbs planted 2 days after receiving these sets...I contacted seller about if b these v are LONG, INTERMEDIATE, OR SHORT DAYS ONIONS..... I POSTED A PICTURE. THESE ARE SHORT DAY ONIONS.... You can only grow these onions in the SOUTH!!Okay so I planted all my 75 bulbs..As in the pictures, the white n red bulbs look terrible... I've had them in the ground for a week.... seems only the red n white are growing... the yellow which are 75% of the bulbs I got mine have grown yet..UPDATE..... ONLY 10%OF MY BULBS SPROUTED.... NOT ONE YELLOW SPROUTED!!!! WHICH WAS 90% of my bulbs..I will never buy from this seller ever again

I had 1 out of 20 not grow, the rest of the bulbs grew into beautiful onions!! I grew them in raised beds in zone 10b. They take awhile to grow to full size but are so worth it! We use the tops for recipes as well. Will buy again next season!

I purchased this a couple weeks ago so I could have some onions and onion greens for a late summer harvest.Reviews were mixed, but I figured it might be worth a shot. And the price was quite affordable. My local greenhouses didn’t have any started bulbs, only seeds - and I didn’t have enough time to start from seeds before snow will be on the ground in my location.I’m only giving this four star ‘s because the shipping was pretty horrendous. It was well over two weeks before I received the item after they were marked as shipped, and it was shipped in a plastic mailer bag with no packaging, no protection, so it was at the mercy of the postal company. About 6 onions were squashed or had the stems snapped. I really feel this could have been avoided by shipping in a small box. The package wasn’t that large and I’m wondering if the seller was trying to cut corners with pricing.At any rate, I received 78 onion bulbs, nearly twice as many as I was expecting. Of the 78, it looks like around 70 of them are in good enough condition to plant and over half of them have already started sprouting just in their bag during shipping. So it looks like the germination rate is pretty great.Going to be planting today, they look like they’ll do just great.

Compared to a similar package last year, these bulbs were underwhelming. Most are very small (the opposite of most you would pick to plant) so that points to smaller bulbs. Several were soft and will most likely end up as just a green onion or they were second year fails and will go to seed. I would not recommend.

I also ordered some so -called shallot sets from this company-- at least those are somewhat plantable!The mixed onion set I ordered was to include 40 set (bulbs)The mix was a mix -- some red, white, yellow -- that was all good....and the size was right ( their shallots are not )THE REAL PROBLEM HERE WAS 25 of the bulbs were rotted out----so I got 15 usable sets for the cost of 40 ....I run a micro farm in NM and have planted onions and shallots for years now-- I know what grows and what does not... This farm's product is complete crap.I try new suppliers all the time ---this one, never again
