Very effective with dog hair. Mopping is decent.
Absolutely the best purchase I have made in the last several years. We have two kids and a Golden Retriever who sheds incessantly. We have laminate floors and carpet, and this does a great job for both. The navigation is fairly effective and we never notice missed spots. It picks up ALL the dog fur and dirt/grass/small yard debris, leaving the laminate floors a pleasure to walk on barefoot. It finishes with a pass around the perimeter, which is 99.8% effective. Of course because of its round shape, it won't get all the dust in the very corners, but the suction is strong enough to pull all the dog fur out of the corners, leaving next to nothing. The mopping is fairly decent. Obviously mopping by hand with a little elbow grease is going to do a much better job than any robot, but this is effective enough to clean up basic stains (spilled juice, dog footprints, etc). Regarding noise level, it's easy enough to find other reviews the measure exact decibels. There are four noise modes. If I'm on a call, I will keep it on the balanced setting, otherwise always have it on turbo for the most effective cleaning. I have run this thing probably three times a day (three floors in our house) for the last month+ and have had no issues. It has found its way back to the dock 100% of the time, even in kind of tight spaces. A couple times it has gotten stuck in areas that I have learned to block off - mostly cords that weren't tucked away. My fault. The OCD side of me loves the straight lines it leaves in the carpet afterwards. Like a perfectly mown lawn. The app is fine. I use it main for checking remaining battery % and to change the setting (max, turbo, balanced and "silent", which means "quiet"... not "silent"). It reminds me when it's time for maintenance. Maintenance schedules it recommends are: Filter - wash every two weeks (very easy) and replace after every 150 hours of use Side brush - Replace after 200 hours of use Main brush - Replace every 300 hours of use Sensors - Clean them every 30 hours of use (easy) The dustbin is easy enough to clean out. The filter can easily be rinsed and left to dry (I give it about an hour or two in the sun). Leaving the carpet unvacuumed for a couple days results in a disgusting amount of dust and dog fur collected. Shocking, actually. So occasionally I'll have to empty it mid-run. Maybe kind of a pain if you're away from home, but it's pandemic times here (depending on whom you ask) and we're home pretty regularly. And now with consistently clean floors that are so nice to walk on barefoot. I really couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Great value, performance and tech
Great choise for a robot that vacuums and mops it, It's versatile and does a great job on my flat, just love it... I give 4 stars because with light thin carpets it struggles even using the pass though option... It takes the carpet along with it and can obstruct the vacuum duct, thus I have to pick them up before the robot starts vacuuming. The answer bstacle avoiding and the lidar maping works great.

Very Good Unit
Q10 S5. After 6 years my old robot vac just lost its way. Really, it could no longer find the dock even though it knew where to look. Research said the Q10 S5 was a new unit and woould work well. Can confirm. This works as expected. With two cats we get lots of shedding and this picks up most of it. There is one carpet that we occassionally use a powerful upright to deep clean the fur but for day to day the Roborock does the trick. In fact, we bought a second related Q10. The second, Q10 X5 is used upstairs which is all carpet. Picks up the fur and clay litter sand that gets tracked everywhere. The S5 is used downstairs because it has a better mopping capability. We haven't tested the mopping part yet. It can navigate switches from hardwood to area rugs with ease. The quick mapping is amazing. Lots of technical progress in the years since our last non-Roborock unit. Setting no-go areas is fairly easy but hard to do fine placement. And, while the official limit is 10 no-go areas I can only save 5 per map. Suction is very good. To affect a good emptying of the dust bin takes opening the side panel and removal of the filter to get to the debris stuck to it and elsewhere in the bin. I wonder if the plus version would have been worth the extra money. Battery life has been sufficient to cover about 900sf of carpet at high suction, single pass. Would probably do a double pass using the mid-level suction. All vacs make noise but it is less so than our uprights and slightly less than our old robot vac. I like that it does a good job, quickly, avoids obstacles and does so at a price that is much less than many more expensive models.

Watch out for furniture damage, low mopping function in high traffic areas and failing sensors
**Update: Don’t buy this! Terrible customer service and it lasted only a few weeks! I actually like this vacuum, but there are a couple of drawbacks to this and all similar designs for my home. Mine covers the tile and hardwood areas of my downstairs. I don’t use it on carpet or rugs. That said, I find that the mop pad gets soiled to the point of being ineffective after it covers one high traffic area. My kids are young and run around outside barefoot, so they track a lot of dirt into the house. This system isn’t designed to keep up with that kind of cleaning. On the flip side, in the low traffic, hardwood floor dining room it does a very nice job of staying on top of any mess. It also doesn’t seem to put too much water down so the hardwood isn’t left wet. The vac does a really nice job of picking up most dirt and debris on turbo setting. One major drawback is it does appear to damage delicate furniture. Our natural cherry dinning set now has scuffs on the table and chair legs from where the vac rubs against it as it redirects around obstacles. I am going to try putting an adhesive backed fabric on the edges to see if that solves the problem. The rubber that is on the unit seems to pick up debris which turns it into a sanding block. **Update - the vacuum has stopped functioning properly. It gets stuck in corners that it didn’t before. I am dealing with their tech support who have had me clean sensors, remove and clean wheels - all to no avail. We will see if they honor the warranty. Dropping my rating to a 2. ***Update 2 : they didn’t honor the warranty. Dropping the rating to a 1. Don’t buy this!

Es fácil de usar. Solo limpia y vuelve sola.

If you have pets this robot vacuum is awesome! The suction picks up pet hair so well and helps to maintain the floors in between major cleaning. I have tried out a few other robot vacuums and this one by far works the best! Easy to setup and map out the house as well. Also it has options to change the power of suction which really helps for the floors staying clean!! Highly recommend this!

El robot aspira bastante bien, pero no evita caídas como se promociona. Adicionalmente se atora al tratar de subir sobre una duela.

I had my doubts that this unit was going to be as good as it is since my last robot vacuum was a real pain in the a$$. I got this one on sale and it has so many features and the room mapping and app is perfect. I let this unit run at night when I'm sleeping and it completes the job without getting stuck on anything. Plus, I can check the map log and see that it covered the entire floor. The room mapping is a must which makes these units more efficient. I mainly only use the vacuum mode but I have used the mop and it does work well. Make sure to get the mop pad wet before running it and make sure to clean the mop pad after use. Only time will tell if this unit was last long but the build quality seems very good. I'll update my review to reflect any problems if that time comes in a short period of time. Update: 02/27/2026. I can no longer recommend this vacuum/brand. The App has become unusable since changes to the mapped zones will not work. Anytime I tried to add or adjust no-zones, the map reset to previous saved It was working at first but with recent updates, it’s now broken. Stay clear of this brand for now. Maybe some day they might fix it. Who knows. For now, I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase. I’ll update my review if this gets fixed.
