    Great product for only $30

*by A***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 28, 2019*

UPDATE: 3ish years later and this cover is still going strong! I've removed it a handful of times to wash it. The elastic around the bottom is still in excellent condition. The elastic tie on straps are a bit stretched out, but still function perfectly fine.My only gripe is that the foam piece that goes in the back of the seat pops out almost every time I get out of the chair, BUT it takes literally one second to push it back into place so it's not a real annoyance. And I don't think it's something that could be remedied anyhow, given the design of the product.I obviously can't say if the production quality of this product is still the same as it was when I first ordered it, but if I ever decide to get a new cover for my chair I'd definitely order this one again.---I received a well-used, overstuffed, leather recliner from a friend. It's exactly the kind of chair I wanted for my room, but I hate the feel of leather, plus I have 4 cats so I was worried that they might poke holes in it while walking around on it. I wanted to get a cover for it, but I'm also on a budget, so I looked around a bit for something affordable and nice, and something that would likely work on leather. This is the cover I decided to order.- It arrived sooner than expected- It's one complete piece of fabric that covers the whole chair- The fabric is thin (maybe similar in thickness to a standard quality t-shirt), but sturdy and very stretchy- There are 4 elastic straps attached to the inside of the fabric to secure on the underside of the chair- Came with 3 foam pieces to shove into the three sides of the seat, to hold the fabric in place- Good quality elastic around the whole bottom- Very stretchy fabric, would fit anything from a standard size to very large recliner (likely too big for a small recliner)- This does NOT make the chair look brand-new, nor does it make it appear "re-upholstered"- This cover is a wonderfully economic way to give your chair and room a new look and feel, but don't expect it to look picture perfect- Ordered and received the "chocolate" colored cover, it is indeed "chocolate" or maybe "espresso"- It bunches slightly in some weird areas, but not too much- Covers the entire chair, top to bottom, except the recliner handle- Because it's a textured fabric, it doesn't seem to slide around too much on top of the leather while I'm sitting, which is great- The included instructions are terrible, I skimmed over the sheet and almost immediately threw it away - but with a little common sense, and some trial and error, this cover is very easy to install (I'll include a brief install guide based on what worked for me, at the very bottom of this review, for those that need some tips!)- The pocket on the left side is a nice touch - on my chair, it hits in a weird spot, but is still perfectly functional- I flipped my chair upside-down to attach the two "back-side" elastic securing straps - to attach them without flipping the chair would be very difficult- The other two "front" securing straps attach to the underside of the foot rest, which can be attached easily with the foot rest opened up- This would NOT be easy to properly install if you have physical limitations or mobility issues- I tried it on my mom's recliner before putting it on mine (to show her how it would fit on her chair) and she liked the way it looked so much that she will be ordering her own in a different color- I would guess this cover, if cared for adequately, will easily hold up well for a few years- For only $30, I couldn't reasonably ask for anything more out of this product- I would definitely buy this product again- I would definitely recommend this product to a friend*To install:If your chair is in the corner of the room, against a wall, or close to other furniture or anything else, pull it out into the middle of the room. This will make everything else you do from here on out considerably easier.Open the foot rest before beginning.Find the hole for the handle in the cover (sitting in the chair, the handle will be on your right side, that is how the cover will fit) and get the cover in position.Make sure the cover is right-side-out before starting to put it on. The white elastic straps should be on the inside.Start from the top of the "back rest" and work down from thereOnce the cover is over the whole chair, secure the front two elastic straps to the underside of the foot rest. Do so by simply tying it around a bar on the bottom. If possible, choose a spot that's away from any moving parts or connecting parts, because if the elastic strap moves or slides into those parts, it will wear out much quicker. I pulled the strap to maybe 50% of its stretching capacity, just tight enough to keep the cover secured, then tied it around only once. I would recommend not double-knotting it, because you'll need to remove the cover at some point to wash it, plus over time the elastic will inevitably stretch out and become loose, so you'll need to re-tie it. If it's tied too tightly, it will be impossible to undo without cutting it or ruining the elasticity.Once that's done, close the foot rest and flip the chair upside-down. You'll want to undo the cover on the backside, and just move it up and out of the way for now. Open the back panel on your chair (usually held by some velcro or something). Use both hands, one to feed the strap from the top (it should come down through the back corner of the seat), and one to retrieve the strap through the bottom of the chair. Don't be afraid to push your hand into the cushions here, you're going to have to to get the strap all the way through to the bottom. Once it's mostly through, use your other hand to catch it from the back/bottom. On my chair, there are two bars that aren't really connected to anything else on the chair, so I just slipped the straps over those and didn't worry about tying them to anything. But every chair is made differently, so do whatever works best, keeping in mind that you don't want them to be permanently fastened. Also, be mindful again of securing the straps to a place on the chair that isn't too close to any moving parts. After those are connected, redo the back panel on your chair, put the cover back on all the way, and flip your chair back to its proper position. To install the 3 foam pieces - don't tuck the fabric and then try to shove the foam pieces in after. It doesn't work easily that way. Instead, with the fabric untucked, take one foam piece at a time, find what will be closest to the middle of the fabric that will get tucked into the crease, place the foam piece in that "middle" spot, and then tuck the fabric and the foam piece in at the same time. Do that for all three foam pieces, for the back and both sides of the seat.Make any final adjustments or repositionings to the cover, and you should be done! Enjoy your new recliner cover!

    Protection Perfection!

*by D***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 29, 2023*

I have had this cover for 5 years and am justnow having to replace it, only because we got a new kitten that is a climber. It does get picked by cat claws (which did not bother us) but, here's the clincher: when you remove the cover, though it is picked, my recliner looks brand new, like the day I bought it! If you're looking for full furniture protection, this is for you!
