Impressive. 5 stars. 🇺🇸
First and foremost, shout out to Thorogood for producing the best work boots the market has to offer and for keeping them made in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. 🇺🇸 Fresh out of the box, these scream American pride. The finish on the outsole is impressive for a work boot. Whoever is handling the sanding belts and stitching at the factory, job well done sir/ma’am. The boots feel broken in out of the box, very soft leather yet feels very durable and stretchy especially the shaft. Now for the bad news, my heels are slipping a bit, but boots are tight on the vamp, sliding into the shaft, and elsewhere. This should stop with wear once they’re broken in. SIZING: THESE FIT TRUE TO SIZE BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING WIDE. I wear a 9D in every other boot and shoe, but had to go with a 9W on these. They’re pretty dang waterproof for not being water proof. I’m walking through wet mud often as a Natural Gas Field Tech, feet haven’t gotten wet even after hosing off my boots.UPDATE: No longer do my heels slip, boots broke in very nicely, and these just might be the most comfortable pair of boots I own out of 12-14 pair.

The Beat Work Boot I Have Ever Used!
Great work boot! The leather is soft yet durable and the soles are sturdy and comfortable. I wear them everyday on our Dairy Farm and am impressed that they have not required inserts in them yet. If I get a year out of them, I will be really impressed and will be back buying another pair. Most other manufacturers only last 6-9 months. So stay tuned for a future review.Update: So if memory serves me correctly, on my first review, my boots were about 6 months old and I was blown away with them at that point. In the end, I almost got 2 years out of them before the sides blew out from the cow manure eating the leather where it attaches to the sole. Had I kept them a little cleaner, I am very confident that I could have gotten 2 years out of them. Likewise I put Dr. Scholl’s inserts in them after a year of use. Then I ran into a problem where I couldn’t find them in my size and I had to go to an alternate company. Which was disappointing as most others have been in the past. I was under the understanding that they were discontinued and you could only get the steel toe, which I’m not a fan of because of seeing someone loose their toes from them. Different story. Yet to my surprise, I found them on here again. So this time I purchased 2 pairs. If I got practically 2 years out of the last pair, I’m hoping to do the same with this pair. Likewise, if I run into an issue where I can’t get replacements, and I hope that doesn’t occur, I have a back up pair. Bottom line, in 40ish years I’ve been wearing and being around these types of boots, I have never encountered ones that hold up this well. And I can only pray that they do not change the way they make them or stop making them. If you want an American Made Boot that will withstand everything a dairy can put them through, this is the right boot for you.I also want to explain the fit. They are fairly true to the size. And when you get them, they will be a little tight. If they are really tight, then send them back and get the next size up. But if they are a little tight, they will stretch. Likewise, if you want to speed up the process, get them really wet on the outside and wear them until they are dry. They will stretch and form to your foot quicker. After they are dry, then wipe them down with some WD-40 or similar lubricant so it softens the leather up a little, but also help keep the leather from drying out. Now keep in mind I also do this because of the environment I use them in.I hope this helps people in selecting a good quality boot that is also made in America.

Toe box
I have worn this boot for over 30 years. The regular boot never had the steel toe look. I don’t like it. My guess is that the regular toe has been replaced by the steel toe without the steel. The quality is outstanding.

Too small
Ive bought 4 pair of thorogood boot, and this pair seems to be smaller in lenght then the others. I would have returned them, but i figured maybe i should try wearing them for a day and maybe the would stretch some. Other pairs had stretched, however this pair has not. Id be scared to go a size up because my foot is kinda loose in the toe already

Worth ever penny
Absolutely love this boots.. probably one of the most comfortable, better than my ariats as far as comfort. I did a lot of second guessing on these boots. I thought they were a bit high for work boots and didn’t think they would be as comfortable as they are. I love the weight of the boot, and the soft leather. If your second guessing on buying these...Don’t definitely worth the price if you want comfort, I’ve had the timberlands, ariats, and Carolina boots. I got the EE just because I like to wear thick socks and I do have a little bit of a wide foot, it literally took less than a day for them to break into my foot. Haven’t had any discomfort with these boots. I will absolutely stick with this brand, hands down the best for comfort and it’s a USA made boot... What else would you want. I’ll definitely be buying atleast 2 more style boots from thorogood, 110% satisfied. Absolutely love them

These boots fit true to size and pull on even with a high instep - my new go to boots!
I work out doors where we have poison ivy and western style boots are a must. I’ve had several brands of boot but the Thorogood boots put on - even with a high instep and fit well. They look great and the leather is top notch and built here in the USA! If you want comfort well fitting and a good looking boot - Thorogood is it - Very Happy!
