Needs to either be held in hand or in pocket. **Q: Can you listen to this radio without ear buds ?** A: There is no speak, you have to plug in the earphones. . **Q: I put on 2.5A charger and 2 hours later still flashing, then on 2.1A charger, 1 hour later still flashing. Inst. says it stops flashing when charged?** A: I left mine on overnight and it was good. The higher the Amp charger the quicker it will charge. I can't find my manual but read what they have to say (if anything). But at 2.5A overnight will do it if the battery is good. To maintain the battery when it's low is around an hour. Update: New one works!! *by D***. on January 6, 2020* I really like the way the radio works in general. Very easy to program, etc. Sound quality is decent for a small radio. My only issue is with the battery. It never actually recharged fully and, therefore, doesn't last long. Started out holding a charge for a few days (I only used it about an hour a day during my gym time) but now only stays on for about 15 minutes. Such a shame as I really like how it fits in my pocket. Ear buds that came with it are poor quality so I use my own. I may try to return it for a new one, in case it's just the battery. Update: Returned the original and was sent replacement immediately! Battery charged just fine on the new one and works like a charm!
