This kit worked great. I'm happy with everything included. The value here is solid. A good option for home security in my opinion. Overall, I have no issues with this. Would recommend.

So this is pretty interesting now that Philips has began introducing security into the hue ecosystem. Was not sure what to expect at first, and was a bit surprised, but ultimately slightly let down in the end. The setup process to get the hue bridge connected and adding each component was a breeze, the app guides you through exactly what to do, even any older folks who could have trouble with technology these days should have no issues getting this thing going. The lights are fantastic and have a wide range of color, virtually limitless, and can provide "scenes" mixing other bulbs for different intimate settings, Works really well with a few in my ceiling lamp to give the room different vibes. But we're here more for the security parts of the kit, the camera and sensors. The camera offers decent 1080p video quality and integrates smoothly with Hue smart lights, but it comes with some significant drawbacks. The high price tag, mandatory subscription for key features, lack of local storage make it a hard sell for the price The contact sensors though are a solid addition to the hue ecosystem. Setup is simple through the Hue app, and the sensors reliably detect when doors or windows open and close. Integration with Hue smart lights enables some useful automations, like having lights turn on when a door opens. Overall it is a cool kit to get people going into the hue ecosystem with some worthy security features. If there were more cheap options for subscriptions, or local storage, it would be well worth it, but at the current price it can be a hard sell to some people..

Wanted a system to where I can have a camera in the backyard to watch the dog and the patio door to go off. If one of my kids walked out of it and this comes with everything that you need to add extra security was easy to install. really nice quality great value for your money. Definitely recommend.

I was hopeful about this security kit for my new home, especially given Philip Hues' reputation for quality. The need to enhance security for my tools and motorcycles, without a closed garage, made this seem like the perfect solution. The lights and contact sensors impressed me with their quality and seamless integration into my existing home assistant setup. The camera's magnetic base is a thoughtful touch, although the bulky wall brick power adapter is less than ideal for discreet placement. However, the camera's limitations within the Philip Hues ecosystem were a significant letdown. It appears designed to push users towards a subscription service for recording and motion detection capabilities, restricting its use to live streaming without additional fees. At a $200 base price, the expectation of paying more for full functionality is disappointing. Moreover, the absence of basic features like detection zone configuration undermines its value as a premium security camera. As it stands, I'm using the camera in my carport but am bracing for the end of my free trial next month, which will leave me searching for an alternative solution. It's disheartening to encounter these limitations in a product with such potential. I'm left feeling disappointed and hoping for future improvements.

Philips has taken their well known and well established smart light system and expanded it to include contact sensors as well as cameras. My first experience with Philips Hue was with the lightbulbs and a first generation bridge or hub device. This feels like a natural progression and is as easy to use as the older more basic Hue systems. The part that I am not as comfortable with is the security plans now added to the system when you use the camera(s). Sure, there is a free level of service but that level has more limited functionality. I am just not a fan of any system like this that requires monthly payments to allow you to use the devices that you have purchased. I have cameras from Ubiquit installed all over my house and I pay nothing monthly to have all the functionality Hue offers are more.

I ordered this product to use for my equipment. It has many features. My favorite thing about this product is it's a complete package.

Complete security system. Setup was easy to figure out, I did it myself. Once the app was downloaded, I was able to figure out everything else.

I had no problems whatsoever getting this up and running. The app is easy to use. Everything works well together. Truly, it’s everything you’re hoping for.
