This fits right into the power outlet/socket in my car. I have accidentally pulled the whole charger out when pulling on the attached cord, but it's easy to pop it back in again. Sometimes my phone doesn't start charging and I have to press on this charger to make sure it's fully in place (I'm thinking that when I pull the cord, I also pull the full charger out just a little). It charges my phone well. And it's a great blue color! I don't really use the other three chargers/ports on this device, but I did test them out and was able to charge four separate things at the same time. The built-in cord pulls out easily and is long enough to reach to my phone on the opposite side of the steering wheel, where my magnetic phone holder is located. When it's time to leave, I just tug on the cord near the charger and it winds itself back up automatically. Sometimes it gets caught or tangled and you'll have to adjust it before continuing. I have left this in my car during both the height of summer and the depth of winter, and it still works fine. Don't know yet if the extreme temperatures will eventually kill it, but so far so good. Overall, a great accessory for my car. Very happy with this product.

Used it to charge my wife's iphone (usb type a) and my iphone (usb type c). I keep my phone charged but my wife needs to partially charge her phone several times a day and she commented that it charges fast. the cables retract, sometimes not at the first try but i tend to mine extracted since i use it every day.

This is a surprisingly useful item. We love road trips in my family and my husband and I both have cars with fewer USB plugs than we love when we travel. Additionally, the clutter of having multiple charging cords getting stepped on and twisted in the car is unsightly and wasteful. We tried this first in my husband's late model Lexus since it has fewer USB ports than my Subaru Outback. It worked great, he loved the retractacble cord neatness. However his port is near the floor, and the size and length of this device protrusion from the floor was not attractive and was easily bumped by passengers in the front seat. Not the fault of this device, but something to consider. Next attempt was to try it in my Subaru Outback. The first place (and the reason this is 4 stars and not 5) I tried was the discrete CLA port in the front armrest. It simply would not even insert there. It was disappointing that the circumference was slightly too wide to be utilized there. I finally tried in the console on the dash and it works great there. I wish it would have worked in the armrest to preserve the console space, but I will not be removing this from my car now.

This is my second car charger that I’ve ordered that has the retractable cables. I really love having the cables built-in like this and having a speed charger. However, even though they both were relatively the same cost, I noticed right away that this one’s retractable cables to do not work right. They are very finicky every. single. time. requiring you to pull and re-pull until it will finally catch and retract . While it’s retracting it sounds clunky loose. One thing I really like about this one is that the enclosure is made of aluminum rather than plastic. I also like that it has a thinner profile so that it is not too cluttering to be able to use the cable when the gearshift is in park. I also appreciate the voltage meter Overall for 17 bucks it’s a fair value, but I would spend a few more dollars for better higher quality options that the cables retract like they should. If you don’t need the retractable cables and want to use the plug-ins, then the charger itself works well. Based on my experiences with this and how I rate, this earns: 3 Stars – Average. Mostly as expected but with issues or concerns with things such as quality, value, safety, functionality etc..

I love this so much! It has USB C and lightning cables, so my husband and I can both charge our phones at the same time, and it also has USB A and C ports so I can plug in longer cables for the kids in the back seat. The built in cables aren't long, but they are long enough to charge my phone in its holder or in the cupholder. They retract easily when I'm done, keeping the front of the car tidy. Here's the scale I'm using for my ratings: ⭐️ 1 star= Nope! I not recommended. It’s poorly made, or not what it’s listed to be. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = Has some redeeming qualities, would not buy again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = Meh. It's passable. I used this on a 3 hour road trip the other day and it worked great. This is the first time I've used a car charger that has a retractable cable. I think its great that it has one of each kind, lightning as well as usb-c. It also has ports in case you want to use your own cable with it. So technically you could plug in 4 things at the same time. I had 3 things plugged in at the same time, my dashcam, and then two phones, and it was able to power them all without overheating. Since it has retractable cables, it makes sense that its a bit larger than my previous car charger since it needs room inside for the mechanism that retracts the cables. Only time will tell how long the rectraction mechanism lasts, its using springs. The cables are a bit thinner than the ones I normally use, but they were able to fast charge my phones.

Awesome charger. Love the voltage display especially when using with the engine off. Charger feels very well made and the retractable cord operates smoothly. I was worried how those cables would hold up, but so far my kids have put plenty of use on them and they still feel and function the same as when new. We have a extended cab truck and even when using the center console outlet the cord extends long enough for passengers to view their phones comfortably but not so long that it makes a tangled mess. Both cords are flat allowing them to retract easier as well. So far, we have charged two phones at the same time with no issues and with fast charging working too.

This charger surprised me with how well it works. You plug it in, and boom - bright little LCD screen lights up showing voltage and charging info. It looks sharp and makes it easy to see everything’s working at a glance, probably not a big deal to most but it's the kind of extra little techy perk that turns my crank lol. The retractable cables are a nice touch and feel solid, as does the rest of the charger - though they operate like a seatbelt or a retractable vacuum-cleaner power cord where you have to pull them all the way out like a seatbelt to get them to retract again. Not a huge deal, just something to know, and they go in with some force and have snapped my fingers a few times. The swivel is a nice feature and works well, allowing you to set it at a specific angle - doesn't do much for me personally but it's nice that it's there if I ever need to angle it differently. It handles older Apple devices with the built-in Lightning cable, and also charges newer ones with USB-C, plus there are two extra ports (USB-C and USB-A) so you can plug in whatever else you’ve got floating around the car. All in all, no complaints. It's compact, charges fast, and makes a cluttered car setup feel a bit more polished. Solid little gadget.

Overall Impression/Comments: - Out of the box, the charger feels solid and well-made and includes an instruction manual. - It is much bigger compared to most other chargers that plug into a cigarette lighter socket, so being able to pivot this charger 90 degrees helps. - No need to buy or remember to keep a USB-C or Lightning charge cables for your Android/iOs devices as there is a retractable cable for each built-in the unit. - Test case: I used the charger to power a Samsung S24 Plus phone with battery that was at 93% for a round-trip drive that took about 2 hours. I used the Waze app and answered two hands-free calls during this trip. I arrived home and noticed the phone was charged at 100%. Very impressed. Test case 2: charge two android phones simultaneously during a quick 5 minute drive: S24 plus at 92% and S24 at 93%. S24 Plus connected using the built-in USB C cable and S24 phone connected using USB A to USB C cable. The S24 was fully charged but S24 plus using the built-in cable only charged +2% to 94%. I will update this review if that happens. CONS: - Cables are actually just over 30 inches when fully extended out whereas the product description claims it extends out to 31.5 inches. Not a deal breaker as it is long enough for charging phones if you and a passenger are both sitting in the front seats. If you want to share this charger with a passenger in the back row, you will need to buy a longer cable and plug it into one of the USB C or A ports. This may not be an issue if your car is newer and offers built in USB charge ports in the back/rear rows. This charger as it appears to be solid and includes 2 retractable cables.
