Columbia Sportswear Women's Kea Land Sandal

I have three pair of these kea sandals and one pair of the prior version, nevis. They are amazing! Don't let the toe piece scare you as that is what holds your big toe in place and keeps the shoe nice and tight. I have struggled with most flip flops where the top piece fits between big toe and the one next to it. This style removes any of that discomfort. I wore them for five solid days walking all over Charleston and had no issues at all. My first pair is three years old and they show no signs of wear and tear.On sizing, I typically wear a 9 1/2 and with these only coming in whole sizes, I've gone with size 9 and it works well. My feet are really narrow and these work great for them, but they also work for two of my sisters who have less narrow feet than I yet love their keas as much as I do. After reading some reviews stating the keas as less desirable than the nevis, I don't agree. I think the small visible changes they made for the kea are all positive and don't feel any measurable difference in comfort. Note to those who love these sandals: this is the first spring the flagship Columbia store in downtown Portland hasn't carried the kea (or nevis which has been discontinued) so I fear that this style too might not be here for long. Buy them up if you like them!

These shoes would get five stars except they are initially very tight. I have average width size 7.5 feet but purchased a size 8. I literally had to force the left shoe on my feet the first time I put them on. They are a bit stretchy and I'm hoping they will loosen up some. I do have high arches and this could be the problem for me. Once they are on your feet, they do not move around like other slides and are easy to walk in briskly. Aside from the slight tightness on the left foot, they are quite comfortable. They are lightweight and very cute. However, they are constructed with glue and this should be kept in mind. As long as one doesn't wear them every day for extended periods of time, I imagine they will hold up well. For the price, I am pleased.

I love them. After reading the reviews, many of which complained that the shoes run very narrow, I immediately sent for two pair. I wear 11 Slim and usually have to settle for Narrow. The shoes fit perfectly for my slim feet. BUT, they would be way too narrow for a normal Medium width foot. They might even be too narrow for a normal Narrow foot. Other than that, the Kea Flip Flops have the good quality and reasonable price I've come to expect from Columbia.

These sandals are delightful, I have an old pair,probably 5-7 years old and they are treasured friends. I just bought a pair of blk and a pair of stone kea sandals from Columbia and I LLLLLOOOOOVVVVEEEEE them. I have narrow feet and the "Kea" fits much better than the "Nevis". The fit of the shoe and the quality of the shoe is wonderful, it provides support for the arch and comfort when your are on your feet on tile floors all day. The older sandals have been thru rain and been wet many times and although they have stretched out some since they were first purchased, they are still my favorite shoes, and I wear them everyday around my house. Please continue this style, looking forward to buying a pair of the turquoise in the spring and whatever new colors you care to bring out. Thank You.

I have an older pair of these sandals in black that I love. That is why I purchased these in the Stone color.But, the new style in my opinion is not quite as nice.The foot-bed is sticky rubbery, and my older ones have a brushed suede inside that my feet don't stick to.Also, the toe band on this style is longer and almost covers up my entire toe. I can't seem to get my toe in far enough to get a good grip.I do have small feet and toes (size 7), but the older style didn't cover up as much of my toe.Because of this change in design it also makes my foot look kind of strange.I'm going to keep them because... discounting the style change, they are comfortable.Update...It's been about a month, and I thought I would get used to the change in these sandals. I just can't get used to the fact that my toe can't go into the toe-loop far enough, and therefore find it difficult to keep these sandals on. If I had a chance to do it again, I would have returned them.

Thought long and hard before ordering these sandals.BUT boy am I glad I did! They just arrived today andI slipped them on and took off to take care of businessin town. Being "older" I need decent support and can'ttolerate poorly fitting shoes. These FILL THE BILL VERYNICELY!They STAY in place (feet don't slip out unless you wantthem to). NO rubbing between the toes (uppers are madeof very soft suede-like material which my big toes love).Cushioned supportive soles are great shock absorbers . .especially if you walk alot.They fit my feet like a well worn pair of gloves rightout of the box. This was definitely a FIVE STAR purchase!!!But worth TEN STARS!!Purchased mine from Amazon . . Great price, Great service too!!
