Excellent TV - Amazon may not be your best source
The TV was easy to set up with minimal fuss. The plastic stand might not be the most glamorous but it holds the TV securely without requiring a wide TV cabinet. I've bought a wall bracket but haven't used it yet (I’m moving house). The TV is light and thin (VERY THIN) and won’t stress a elbow bracket. In 20 minutes or so the TV was tuned in to freeview and satellite channels. The setup was intuitive. A few minutes had it connected to my NAS drive. Connecting to Netflix was equally as straightforward. Connecting the soundbar was a little fiddly but a couple of tweaks to the sound options soon had it working fine. This could have as much to do with my soundbar as the TV. The optical audio connection produces an impressive sound. Without the soundbar the TV sound was OK but this TV is a visual experience I’ve not seen before outside of top-end TV retailers. When the TV was setup the BBC was broadcasting Blue Planet and the images were stunning. I was happy to have spent the extra money on a good quality soundbar to produce a first-class TV entertainment centre. Other reviewers will be better qualified to comment on the technical details. I’ve read several of those reviews and it might be important to point out that I do not intend to use the TV for gaming. It may be that this B9 might be out-performed by the newer C9 but I was just looking for a first-class TV – not a gaming console. I got what I wanted. Final advice – Amazon (at the time of writing) is not the cheapest retailer and it took over three weeks for them to deliver the TV. You may find high street retailers will serve you better.

Versatile TV
I really like this. I had an LG LED before but the image is much clearer with OLED. The image settings range from almost too dull to see clearly to really bright vivid colour. I would have preferred a simple brightness control but the fixed settings give enough options. The warnings that the more vivid the picture, the more energy the TV will use are wasted on me because I can't see the point in not having the picture bright enough to see properly. I can't say I've noticed any increase in electricity usage anyway. I did find it quite heavy when fitting it to my wall bracket but then I was doing it by myself which wasn't recommended. The top half of the tv is incredibly thin with all the 'works' in the bottom half and consequently all the weight is at the bottom too. I was a bit worried about the reviews that mention burn in and for a while I avoided pausing DVDs when leaving the room but over the few weeks I've had the Tv I've got used to leaving the picture paused for longer periods and haven't seen any sign of burn in. Certainly the on screen channel logos haven't caused any problems. I suppose it all depends on how long the image is static but I can't imagine wanting to leaving a frozen image for very long. The built in sound is very much better than my old LG but I use home cinema speakers for preference because I already had them. All the same, sometimes I forget to switch to surround sound and don't always notice at first because the TV sound is perfectly acceptable for normal broadcast programmes. The remote control is different to any I've had before, with the on screen cursor for selecting. It does revert to normal button use if you don't use the cursor much but you can bring it back by shaking the remote. Handy to have a scroll wheel when using the programme guide. The pre-set facility is handy for switching to favourite channels, including to i-player etc and it's easy to change the pre-sets as and when required. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Best purchase of my life???
I bought this refurbished and honestly I would've paid full price for it. In my opinion, this is the best value for money TV on the market. The 120hz refresh rate and 1ms response times make it perfect for gaming. And the Dolby vision, 4K resolution and extremely high contrast display make it the perfect cinema TV as well. It goes super bright and the built in speakers made me question if I even needed a sound bar they are so good. (I got one anyway but the built in speakers are seriously good). The remote is extremely intuitive and you can just point it at the tv and a cursor will come up that you can just wave your hand around to control. It also has a microphone on the remote that you can just press and speak into the search for things. This speeds up my YouTube watching 10 fold. honestly if you are in the fence then just buy it. If you aren’t on the fence… then just buy it. You don’t think you need it till you’ve got it. And then you’ll never look back. Thrilled is the only word I can use.

Beautiful value OLED
This is for the b9 2019 model (I know a lot of the reviews on here are for the b8 2018). Now, I love LG tv’s. When I have looked around electronic stores (before COVID) they were always the ones that stood out to me. My last TV was an LG.... a 3D plasma from 2012! Yes it lasted that long. And it is still going strong with excellent picture. But this OLED is another level. I have so far ran a number of Marvel and Pixar film through this set and I am blown away. It’s one let down is the sound. Others have said this. It happens on most OLED as the speakers are downward facing. I bought a Bomaker ODINE 1 sound bar for £79 (which is amazing value and produces high quality sound). This set up is absolutely perfect for movies and gaming. It’s a fraction of the price of the 2020 TV and most people probably couldn’t tell the difference. The in built apps are super easy to set up. There’s everything you need. Apple TV. Amazon Prime. Disney +. Netflix. Now TV. Just enter your subscription details and launch. One of the features I absolutely adore, the different settings on the different inputs. So I have mine set up differently for gaming, set top box, Blu-ray player etc. This is a bargain OLED. Worth the extra from the Nanocell in my opinion.

Affordable(ish) OLED
If you want an OLED TV you could do a lot worse than the B8 from LG. I was concerned my wife was going to flip at the size of this thing (55" is the smallest option) and I must admit a few eyebrows were raised when I was setting up. However when I fired this thing up the reaction to the picture quality was priceless! The LG Artshow app is particularly impressive! I've never spent this much on a TV before and I know £1000+ is a lot to ask but I am just enjoying this TV so much it brings so much depth and immersion to movies, PS4 games have a richness of colour to them and the LG software is fast and responsive with one of the best UI's I've seen on a smart TV. Set up and configuration is easy, agreed with one reviewer here that switching off interpolation (LG TruMotion) helps retain the film makers original picture, during movies, but having it switched on for live sports smooths out the action nicely. Furthermore I have not suffered any issues with micro-stutter as mentioned by the same reviewer. In short, since the substantial price drop this TV is great value and delivers on every level. If you can justify the price tag you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic TV coming from an LCD.. Not perfect though...
I love this TV in nearly every way however watching very dark scenes like Game Of Thrones it cant really handle in the blacks. Maybe I'm doing something wrong (after messing around with some of the picture settings) but Season 8 Episode 3 looks pretty bad and there doesn't seem to be anyway to adjust the settings to get rid of the horrible noise in the blacks. I am aware I'm not watching it from a BluRay source so that will also be a fault and not the TV's but still it looks very bad compared to my Dell XPS 9570 4K LCD screen. All the pros I can only echo from what everyone else has said on here. It's wonderful to game on too! I have my PS4 Pro hooked up to it and love the image quality. Sound is bloody good for a TV I was blown away by how good it is compared to what I was used to with my old TV.. obviously not the best but then you should get a soundbar. But for my little room I'm renting the TV sound is loud and clear enough! I am very happy with this TV despite the noise in extreme dark scenes lets just say but for the price compared to other LG OLED models its a damn good TV that should last you a while yet... seeing as the better models are marginal improvements over this one. I just want to thank Amazon on this occasion for allow me to purchase this over 6 months with 0% interest. Without this option I wouldn't have been able to afford it.

Superb TV
For an " entry level " oled this TV has amazing picture quality when viewing 4k HDR video's. Some midrange LCD/led TVs are the price of this oled TV with inferior picture quality. The B8 has four full fat 4k hdmi ports, supports Dolby visiob, Dolby Atmos and HDR 10. To get the best out of this TV you will need to feed it 4k HDR content which thankfully is increasing day by day. Xbox one X with enhanced 4k HDR games looks jaw droppingly good on this tv. Out of the box the TV is already well calibrated but I would advise to get the TV professionally calibrated to get the best out of this TV set. As with any oled burn in is a risk especially with watching channels with static logos such as BBC news, sky news etc. There's plenty of guides on the internet on how to avoid burn in. I would definitely recommend this TV as with any oled TVs they have the best picture quality, infinte contrast, deep blacks, wide viewing angles and excellent picture settings out of the box. At £1199 this is the best TV you can buy at the price believe me no LCD or led TV comes close.

Seller Sold Defective TV and Refused to Collect It, Amazon Provided Little to no Help
The seller sold me a defective TV. At first I didnt notice the colour burn and discolouration until I displayed brighter colours. It became an eye sore that only got wore. I tried asking for a replacement but the seller had no more in stock. I asked for a return and refund but they refused the times and dates I offered to arrange for a collection. Instead, they told me they would only collect it Mon to Fri 9am-5pm. These hours were not reasonable collection times for as they are working hours. But they did not care, told me will not help me unless I arranged a friend or family member to be at the house if I can't be there. I filed an A-Z claim as I was left with a faulty TV and no refund. Many weeks later, after calls upon calls with different Amazon reps, all Amazon offered, was for me to pay & organise for a courier service and for its packaging myself! Apparently I would have been reimbursed, but the fact that I was being told this after I had spend hundreds on this item and waited almost a month for some resolution felt unethical. I should not have to arrange a collection myself and invest more time and money into resolving a problem i did not create. This has been nothing but an inconvenience. Definitely lost trust with Amazon in regards to third party sellers. Won't not advice anyone to rely on the usual service Amazon is known for giving if buying from third party. Never ordering from this seller again!
