Fun for all ages!
Not just for kids! You may buy it for your kids but I guarantee you will play with it too. This has fascinated all guests in our house. It is cheap and everybody should own one of these. As long as the wheel is attached to the metal on both ends, it will remain lit. My son would fall asleep with this in his hand. I detached the wheel the first night so the light would go off. I had to console him at 4:00am because he was heartbroken when he woke up and the light was off. He LOVES this toy! The light started to dim after about a week, but it is still great fun and will continue to be fun after the light completely dies.

Just like I remember
I bought this just for fun, and it turned into a slight addiction just spinning it back and forth while watching TV or chatting with my wife. Its nothing great, and certainly not a replacement for modern entertainment, but generally everyone will want to play with it at least for a minute. The one annoying thing is that the roller must be removed from the wire/handle or the light will stay on all the time until the battery goes out.

Still Amazing
I bought these after looking for a similar Gyroscope for a project. I remember having one of these when I was a kid. My dad would give us $1 every 2 weeks and let us get anything we wanted at Dollar Tree. This product worked just fine and it had a battery already inside. I even brought it to the class I teach during summers and some of my students were amazed at what it was and how it worked since they had never seen one before. It's no XBOX, but it's still fun to play with on occasion.

Red Handle Slides a bit, Impacts Wheel Movement
You know, I didn't even read the reviews on this one before I purchased it, our new OT therapy team member brought one in to see how our son would like to work with it on wrist stability, I thought it was a super cool idea, he pretty much only tried to eat the wheel on day one, so I thought it could use some extra support at home from me in my non verbal imitation targets. And I do think it's a cool idea for wrist stability practice for a kiddo that might be motivated by this type of toy, and unlike other reviewers, everything came in our package, and it works as it should for the most part.So we've been playing with this for about a month now, maybe a little bit more, and the reason I'm taking off the star is that the red plastic gripper on the handle slides around a bit, which wouldn't be a problem per se except that it has to be in just the right position in order for the metal prongs to be in the correct alignment for the wheel to move smoothly back and forth along the track. Also, please note, though this is not a reason for a deduction, if you leave both metal ends of the wheel in contact with the rails the light will stay on, which will drain your battery quicker, as it completes the electrical circuit with the battery to have those ends connected to the rail. So, in terms of how our son likes it. All I can do is chuckle. He still wants to try and eat the wheel, today's actually the first day I've been able to get him to try and duplicate the wrist movement without me using hand over hand, but I still had to block his other hand to keep him from grabbing the wheel to try and shove it in his mouth. So I'd say he likes it but for all the wrong reasons ;) And I do think it's a cool toy for wrist mobility as long as this type of activity would be motivating to your child. And my husband and our son's older sister both have found this cool to be playing with, so for us at least, this has been a decent product.

It’s okay
The middle piece you use to spin it back and forth isn’t the best, mine got bent out of shape and hold the wheel croaked now, it still works but not as well as before it got bent. And the metal is easy to bend.

This was a big hit with our autistic daughter.
She figured it out right away. Mom had a little more trouble at first, and everyone enjoyed laughing at my attempts. LOL! But once I got it, she's right. It is soothing and mesmerizing. Everybody played with it at least once.

Grandson Loves it
I bought this last Christmas for a stocking stuffer for my 4 year old grandson, and a year later he's still playing with it. It's held up well to being (ab)used by him, his sister, and his dad. It's a simple toy that I remember from my childhood, and is something kids in this day and age still enjoy playing with. The light up feature is nice, makes it fun to play with in the dark.
