Update: We’ve had this almost two years now and it has still held up really great for us. It’s been with us on dozens of camping trips and a couple of long trips from TX to Colorado. On one of those trips, we ran into some really cold weather causing ice to accumulate on the bag, still no problems. It’s seen heavy rain and kept our gear dry. Really recommend this product, we are very happy with it still! Original: I’ve been really impressed with this! We did not have the budget for something top of the line, but wanted something heavy duty that would last us a long time. We use this for when we go camping and it fits just about all of our gear - no longer is my kiddo sitting in the back seat squished like a sardine! It is very easy to get set up and is very secure. We drive on Texas highways where we go 70-75mph and have had no issues whatsoever. It’s kept our belongings safe in the rain, and after many uses since its purchase..we’ve found that it really is very durable. My biggest concern for products like this is always issues with zippers - happy to report that so far, we’ve had zero issues with anything! Highly recommend!

I was making a move and needed the extra space so I could do it in one trip (5-hour freeway drive), and this bag was amazing!!! I almost bought one of the hard-shell roof-top carriers, but those are limited if you have bulky items. I was able to fit three suitcases, small, medium, and large, plus one of those black storage bins with the yellow lids, plus my portable room heater, plus several small boxes in the bag with room to spare. It rained on the drive, but everything was completely dry. You can see in the photo that I had additional straps, but I was being paranoid and actually didn't need them but it was more for peace of mind. The best part is that where I moved to, I have limited space, so the bag folds up really small for easy storage. It exceeded my expectations. Oh yeah, here's a tip: I also laid the bag out in my living room first and played with the suitcases and storage boxes, etc, while they were empty so I could plan what configuration would fit best. Like playing Tetris. It would have been too difficult and heavy to try and do this with the suitcases, etc filled while putting them on the roof of my SUV. I was able to maximize the space/placement and then load it on my roof. systematically.

I recently purchased this rooftop cargo carrier, in preparation for a 1,000 mile trip to Florida. It arrived in good condition, and it didn't take long to figure out the directions and strap it to the top of my car (I also bought a rubberized mat to place between the carrier and my rooftop, to protect the paint from scratches). The carrier is quite roomy, I think it fit something like 7 suitcases of varying sizes. And when strapped down tightly, it didn't produce much wind noise either (it took a little trial and error to figure out where/how to tuck some of the straps so they didn't blow in the wind and smack the roof of the car. My primary complaint concerns the front of the carrier, and how it closes. The zipper runs from one back corner up the side, across the front, then down the other side to the opposite back corner. And there's a flap that covers the zipper, with velcro to keep the flap down and the zipper protected from the elements. But the front center of the flap lacks velcro, so the wind stream coming off the top of the car lifts the flap there, and exposes the zipper. That became an issue when we drove through a heavy downpour of rain outside Daytona Beach, as the exposed zipper couldn't stop the large volume of rain from penetrating into the carrier bag itself. I wouldn't go so far as to say the bags inside were soaked, but they were certainly damp. If the makers of this product would place a velcro closure, or better yet a cinch-down strap, in the front center of this carrier, I suspect that would fix the leak issue and make it a great product.

This was the MVP of a recent cross country road trip (New Mexico to Ohio and back) I took with my mother, a toddler and three dogs. We loaded up all our bags with our clothes in this rooftop cargo bag and frankly it was the only way we were able to take everything we took with us. It installed easily. We experienced snow, rain and absolutely frigid temperatures and the bag held up great. Our belongings arrived to our destination dry. While driving we did notice some noise when we’d go above 80mph. The straps slap and flail like crazy so I did have to buy some Velcro covers separately for the return trip. And surprisingly I was able to fold it up and fit it in the included storage bag after our trip was done! Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and will use again on future road trips!

Very roomy. You were able to put everybody’s luggage on top, left room in the car for ourselves without being uncomfortable.. very easy to put back into the bag.

Worked as advertised and expected. First time use on a 700 mile trip through the mountains and several periods of rain. General speed of about 75 mph and felt very little drag. MPG reduced by about 1 MPG. Arrived to find no shifting and everything inside completely dry.. Great value and reclaimed much needed space inside the vehicle. Highly recommend!

Before purchasing, I compared this product with similar brands, and selected this brand based on cost. I neglected to notice this product does not come with clips that hook underneath the door weather stripping. Instead for a non cargo rack install, the straps actually go through both door openings and latch inside the vehicle. There are two issues with this style of mounting, first if it's raining, rain works its way along the strap, past the door seal and drips inside the car. Also depending on the shape of your car roof, and how much head room you have, the straps can interfere with the occupants. In their defense, they did not mis-represent the hardware, that was on me as I didn't catch that it doesn't come with clips. Also we did experience some rain on our trip and some water did make it's way into the carrier bag. The zippers were fully closed and the rain flap was secured over each zipper. So I don't know if the rain got in through a zipper, or through one of the sewn seams. The quality of the bag material was very good, and the straps were good quality. Also this bag did not come with an anti-slip mat like some of the others do.

Came off the car at 70 total loss. Suitcases and clothes got run over by traffic. This bag almost got me killed trying to rescue my belongings. World's most deadly game of frogger trying to pickup my stuff after the bag completely came off the car at 70mph. Not a good way to start vacation as I'd only made it about 40 miles of a 600 mile trip. It hit the road and exploded and stuff went everywhere across 2 lanes of busy interstate. I'll never buy another cargo bag again. I'd rather go with less than lose it to car and semi damage. Buyer beware I'd leave negative stars if I could UPDATE: customer service reached out and gave me a complete refund on the purchase. There wasn't enough left of it to pick up and send back but they understood and sent me my refund anyway. Bad product but pretty stellar support and service. Thanks

What can I say that hasn’t already been said! Having used this product on my barless car, I cannot recommend it enough for the following: - Ease of use: it really is as simple as place it on the roof and strap it up (either to your bars or through the car doors). Simple tightening, but very secure. - Super sturdy: This carrier simply won’t let you down. It is thick and tightens to fit the load so no room for items to slip around. - Weatherproof: whilst I was unable to test the waterproof functionality, the layer inside is thick. I can see the straps absorbing rain and potentially causing problems inside the vehicle however I would be VERY surprised should the main carrier let water through. - Super portable: the carrier folds back up into its bag with ease. Cannot ask for better storage! If you’re due to go on holiday or need to carry a little more than your boot can handle, this product is second to none. Very very impressed and wish I’d have invested sooner!

Do not purchase for on the roof of your car without braces. The straps in the package do not have the same size as the straps on the cargo carrier.

Wir haben uns lange überlegt welche Art von Dachbox für uns die richtige ist. Ob faltbar ich war zunächst skeptisch oder feste Box. Jedoch hat uns überzeugt, dass sie zum einen platzsparend aufzubewahren ist, das Volumen für unsere ZWecke wirklich ideal ist. Die Handhabung ist super einfach, auch beim 1. Mal aufbauen. Sehr gut finde ich wie simpel die Befestigung ist und dass ich keine Querträger benötige obwohl eine Reling vorhanden ist - das schont den Geldbeutel. Wir haben sie bei unserem Urlaub eingesetzt und waren wirklich erstaunt, dass es wirklich wasserfest ist - Regen hatten wir auf der Hinfahrt, dass nichts verrutscht sowohl die Box als auch Inhalt nicht, also war hier meine Befürchtung völlig unbegründet. Sie ist sehr leicht, was den Transport und den Aufbau wirklich erleichert. An unserem Urlaubsort konnten wir den Luxus geniessen die Dachbox vollständig wieder zusammenzubauen ,sodass wir sie für die zwei Wochen perfekt in der Tasche lagern konnten. Spart Sprit für den Urlaubsaufenthalt und man muss sich keine GEdanken machen ob die Dachhöhe ausreicht - bei einem SUV. Da wir Geocacher sind und eine Großfamilie wird diese Box uns definitiv öfter begleiten und die Ausflüge erleichtern. Fazit: Wir sind froh uns für diese Box entschieden zu haben. Preis/Leistung - wirklich TOP. Nur zu empfehlen.
