The rechargeable battery lasts a good amount of time for short sessions, making it perfect for quick monitoring needs. Setup was straightforward, and using it as both a pen and a camera adds to its discreet design. It’s ideal for keeping an eye on a room, personal security, or even as a nanny cam. My only note is that the battery life could be longer for continuous use, but for its size and purpose, it works very well. It's not compatible with Samsung S21 and Chromebook. I don't know if it only needs a computer, but those other devices are not supported, so you'll only get audio. I'm returning it. It's not useful at all.

I bought this pen camera about 5 weeks ago for recording meetings and lectures discreetly. The design really does look like a regular pen which is impressive - you wouldn’t notice it unless you were specifically looking for a camera. The 1080p video quality is actually pretty good considering the size, captures clear footage with decent detail in good lighting conditions. The one-touch recording is simple to use once you figure out the button sequence. However, the 340mAh battery is the biggest weakness. Despite claims of extended usage, I’m getting maybe 45-60 minutes of actual recording time before it dies, which isn’t great for longer meetings. The charging time is also pretty slow for such a small battery. Video quality drops noticeably in lower light situations and there’s no image stabilization so any hand movement shows up in the footage. The pen writes normally but the ink cartridge is pretty basic. Audio pickup is okay but you need to be fairly close to the subject. File transfer via USB is straightforward though the included cable is really short. For the price it’s decent if you need occasional covert recording, but the battery limitations make it frustrating for longer sessions. Also be aware of legal requirements for recording in your area since this is obviously designed for discrete use.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I inserted the pre-loaded 32GB module and hit the top button to start recording after the device had been charged for the previous night. An inconspicuous LED started flashing momentarily before going black, which confirmed that the video capture process was already starting. Because of the significant battery life, I was able to record lengthy chunks without any interruptions throughout the course of the subsequent two days. I could depend on the gadget to operate for hours on end, with enough time to cover a complete daycare pickup, a supermarket run, and even a brief lunch with friends. This would eliminate the need for me to worry about constantly recharging the device. I put it into the pocket of my jacket, and while my family was gathered in the living room, it discreetly filmed every conversation without bringing attention to itself. Later on, I was able to verify that my pet sitter adhered to the feeding instructions and that no one ventured into prohibited areas by downloading the data via USB in a matter of minutes and reviewing them on my laptop. This was done without the need for any specialized software program. Because of the user-friendly file arrangement, I was able to avoid wasting time searching for certain clips, which was a much-appreciated relief after a prolonged period of time.

Ordered two - one works well and filmed continuously for more than 2 hours. The other died within 45 mins. Both with full charge.

I prefer this form factor. Its more sleek and higher quality design plus easy to recharge. Good video and sound quality

Amazing product. The video and audio quality is great for the price. The creators of this product thought of everything. It comes with 6 cartridges of ink so you can use it as an actual pen, it comes with its own SD card and reader. All you need is a computer and you’re good to go. Amazing product, highly recommend. Makes you feel like James Bond
