They were nice and light weight good for beginners (like me) but if you’re heavy handed (also me) and you need a strong tambourine with more weight to it this is a good one. The weight on this one is the first thing I noticed. The sound is also a tinge deeper (not like any toy) and the material that you actually hit is much stronger. I think the others were paper with some kind of plastic finish over it. Over all I like it. FYI if you’re use to the light weight ones, it’s going to take a little time to adjust to the weight of this one. Review: Best for the price and finish is fantastic. - Wowwww best tambourine very good quality for the price. I wish they had a different design in place of using stapler pins. By tightening the skin head you are tuning the tambourine. The "pretuned" tambourine already comes with the head tightened to the correct pitch level and is unable to be removed. This way you don't have to worry about the tightening process if you don't know how to do it. I hope this helps! **Q: Can this hold up to a cogic praise break?** A: It has for me! I will say that sometimes the nails get loose and you have to push them back in. However, these are the best ones for a COGIC praise break... I have bought 4-5 and have share with other praises... **Q: Is Fiberskyn synthetic or made with animal products?** A: Hello there, Fiberskyn is made from an artificial/synthetic material. The main benefits are that it is more durable and will stand up to being played with mallets and sticks better than the animal skin. However, these are still Hand drums and the heads are not very thick, so we do recommend playing them with either a cloth covered mallet or with the hand.
