The Tidal Wave putty is magnetic. Check the labels there are certain colors that are not, but they don't say they are on the label. If the contents of the item don't include a magnet - the item isn't magnetic.

how much putty is there?

There is 1/5 pound (3.2 ounces) of Thinking Putty inside each 4" tin.

Does this feel different from super scarab? I like the color but dont want it to feel different from that.

I don't have that particular variety, but it feels very different than any of the other putties we Aaron's have. It's a bit "gritty" and is stiffer than the others.
