I cannot be happier. Awesome product, high grade leather, lots of pockets, reeks class, and have been using one year while still looking almost like the day it came out of the box. Could not have found such a top quality brief at such an awesome deal anywhere on the planet! Thank you!! Highly recommended.Update: Dec 2017 - after 5 years I am still using this briefcase. I travel globally and take it everywhere with files, laptop, magazines, laptop accessories, etc. About one year ago, I notice some of the black had worn-off from extensive usage and time. Researched and bought Doc Bailey's Leather Black and re-colored the leather handles and the surrounding beads. Looks like new again - still stylish after one year on the Doc Baileys and five total years of use. People often comment of how stylish AND functional a briefcase it is.I highly recommend for those who are active users of such carry bags!

Beautiful bag, but not worth the money. It's been just 16 months since I bought this bag. At this price, no bag should have the strap tearing off, but that's exactly what's happening. Upon closer inspection, I've discovered the anchor points for the strap are not leather. Rip off! Literally!

Arrived today, absolutely gorgeous. The color is closer to a warm caramel than what Amazon's photos show, but gorgeous just the same. It appears to be high-quality and has pockets and storage spaces galore. The pockets on the front look small but open them up and they are much larger than they appear. Another Amazon customer had a problem with the should strap separating from the bag, that's one of the first thing I checked. They must have corrected the problem because not only is there a rivet securing the mounting point to the bag, but there is heavy duty stitching holding it down. It appears to be very secure.The back has two zippers, you can utilize it as an extra folio pocket or open both zippers and it will slide over luggage handles or, in my case, the back seat of a motorcycle.The dimensions are wrong, the bag is NOT 13 x 18". It is 12 x 17". I bought it to carry my work laptop which is 11.5 x 17" to and from work . . . what a disappointment that the dimensions are wrong. I'll be returning this bag and ordering the Jumbo model instead. Mine was also missing the ID tag . . . meh.Overall, if you want a very smart looking bag that has pockets inside of pockets and storage galore . . . definitely order yourself one but be careful if you have a large computer you need to carry, this one won't do it. It says "Fits most 17" laptops" but I think you should consider anything larger than 16" too big for this one.

I bought this bag as a laptop carrier for my partner. I checked the site and it said that the laptop( Maccbook pro 17") would fit. When I got the bag, it came with a note saying that if you want your computer to fit you need to detach part of the bag, even after i did that the computer is a very tight fit, making it difficult to go in and come out.The bag itself is pretty good looking. The zips however are quite stiff and give some trouble to open and close. Also the biggest drawback for me is that it doesnt have that much carrying space. The reason i chose this bag is because i know he has alot of files etc to carry around, this bag has very narrow compartments that really cant carry very much. This was very disappoining for me because that was the whole reason I chose this bag. Overall I would say that it is DEFINITELY not worth the price. I have a Kenneth Cole bag that was 1/5 the price and much more user friendly.

This is a great bag. I travel a lot for business and this presents a quality high-end image, but is still highly functional. I opted for the extra large capacity version as I carry a lot of papers and reports with me when I travel and this handles a very large capacity. I like that the slip over the luggage part is zippered on both the top and bottom as you can actually use this as an extra compartment when you need to. It's made of high quality leather and seems to be very durable. It's a little on the pricey side, but worth the investment based on the quality.

I am discouraged to know this is not eligible for a replacement as the front zipper is already broken. I would not recommend this bag given this flaw and especially because there doesn't appear to be an option for replacement.

I ordered this Claire Chase extra wide Briefcase and was immediately thrilled! This bag is PURE LUXURY! The leather from this bag has filled my office with a beautiful aroma. It smells like a new car!! You can tell from the hardware that this case is real quality. The case is beyond beautiful and it's super well made! I have worked in manufacturing for many years and I know qualify when I see it. I already own 2 other products from Claire Chase and have been extremely happy. I actually called the company and their customer service department went out of their way to help me when I asked if I could exchange the black for the saddle color. They swapped it out without a hitch and were super friendly! I have ordered this brand for years. I can 100% recommend this company to anyone that wants a quality bag! If your looking for the BEST at an affordable price and Great Customer Service, this is the brand you need to buy. Mike M.

After less than 2 months of light usage, the leather holding the strap ring to the bag tore rendering the bag useless. The leather securing the ring to the bag is very thin and is just not designed to carry any weight. In addition, the rivet holding the ring is not fastened to the bag itself, so it does nothing to help carry the loadClaire Chase Executive Computer Briefcase, Black, One Size -- see the photo to better understand why this bag is so poorly designed and will not carry any weight whatsoever. Unfortunately, I am just outside the very weak return policy, so this was a waste of $235.
