I have yet to use the soap I made using this lye as I let lye-soap sit for a few months to allow the alkaline disburse. But my soap-crafting seems to have been a success again.

I was hesitant on this item, being the clog was quite far down the drain. It was affecting all of my drains. A lot of water would run before it would finally start backing up. Well, I did as instructed, but as always, I plunge until I'm blue in the face. While plunging all week after numerous attempts of boiling water, an attempt at a drain opener, baking soda and vinegar, etc with nothing but clear water and air. Yes, I duct taped the overflow in the tub and the bathroom sink, as it was making everything gurgle including the toilet. I was not giving up. My last attempt was going to be diluting it and letting it sit overnight. Thank GOD I didn't have to. After using full strength, letting it sit, but running boiling water behind it and plunging also, it had made it's way to the clog, because while plunging, black and green was now coming up. So I made more progress. While the tub filled with the nasty water, I took a nap. Woke up and it was all down, BUT still clogged. Decided to wash the dishes with very little water, (ugh) and waited for the water to drain so I could shower. Once I felt the water was low enough in the pipes, I got in the shower to get about half in before the water started to back up. Just as suspected, water was backing up and I was halfway done with my shower. Then the toilet flushed on it's own, (scared me half to death) and ALL the water in the tub, suds and all went straight down the drain! Been perfect ever since. My point is, don't expect something to work without still adding a little elbow grease and some effort to help it along. This was by far the longest and worst drain clog I personally have ever encountered, including helping others with nasty drain clogs, but I have never met a drain clog that I didn't win. I guarantee, without the help of this product, I would have had to spend the money on a professional to come out. For $20, I got both tubs and only used 1/2 of the 1st bottle. So still have plenty left for any future issues that may arise.

I am usually a very scepticle person when it comes to things I read on the internet. But I have been having issues with my sink and my boys sink clogging very often. I have used Drano and the Vinegar and Baking Soda combo for a bit. Drano usually works but I have to purchase it often beccause these drains just clog all over again. Ive done the baking soda & Vinegar combo and that works for a bit also, but there I go again doing it about a month or so after. After reading the review on this and the pricing, I said, "why not" its cheap I got two containers which was awesome. So I read the instructions and ensured I followed what it said in order not to cause any harm to myself. I used 1/2 cup for each drain in the master bath as directed and left it there for the 15-30 minutes after running the hot water for 1 minute. After waiting the 15-30 minutes, I ran hot water again. The granules dissolved with the hot water and the sinks, were just draining freely!!! I did have to scrape off the residue that was there around the drain with my measuring cup (which wasn't hard and came right off). Now my boys drain, that one took a bit longer. Did the same process 3x and finally got it running smoothly without it filling up before it drained!! I was so ecstatic with the result!! I will say though, make sure the area you are working in is very well ventilated as this product is oderless, but you can feel the fumes as you run the hot water the second time to wash down the granules. Over all I am one happy customer!!! Will stock up on these and use them as a preventative once a month.

I followed the directions, and within 24 hours it worked! My kitchen sink had been clogged for months. All before, I had been buying Liquid Plumber, wasting $8 to $15 biweekly. It just wasn't working. No matter the plunging with this product, the clog remained. I resorted to just using bins to wash/rinse my dishes. After each washing, I would just carry the water outside to dump. Obviously, this could get annoying pretty quick. So without any doubts, I firmly recommend anyone try this product, and experience the satisfaction I now have that the job is done and money is being saved.

We've tried lots of different products, but nothing works as well as this does. I've been ordering/using this for years--always keep at least a bottle on hand--usually re-order when I open the last bottle.Pretty easy to use and super effective. If you have a tough drain and are a little sensitive, get some masks as you will get some fumes. This handles all kinds of drain clogs--hair, grease, and other kinds of build-up.

Read and follow instructions; it can burn. Don't be careless with it -It worked better than anything I have tried over the years minus a "snake."It certainly cleared out my bathroom sink line. I used one bottle and am saving the other one for a potential problem with another sink in the home. Highly recommend it.
