What a fantastic idea! A set of two trays, each with six ice cube separations. I of course use filtered water before freezing. Almost everyone now has self defrosting freezers and vanishing ice cubes in normal trays is a common thing. They slightly defrost and freeze again in your ice cubes get smaller and smaller. NOT WITH THIS ONE! It's got a sealed lid on top of it and every single ice cube remains the same size until I'm ready to use it! I'm adoring that function. It's made of non-bpa plastic so it's safe for food products which is including ice! And now for the size of the cubes. Large. Your ice cubes don't immediately melt. You'll only need one ice cube for lemonade or iced tea or any other drink you choose. Because they last. Which means your drink won't get quickly watered down. And they're extremely easy to dislodge one ice cube without all of the other ice cubes falling out. Made out of silicone, you can just push the bottom of the ice cube section that you want, and that's the only one that falls out! Super easy to snap it back into place. And one of the best things I found about this is that if I know I'm not going to be using it again for a day or two, I can simply refill the one or two cube sections that are empty, and the next time I go for it I have a full ice cube tray! Really do love this! I did clean it before use but there was no chemical smell. I always recommend cleaning these items before use! Very easy. Simply soap and water and rinse.

This is what I wanted - the big square ice cube that doesn't melt so easily. At first I didn't think I needed the two pack but now that I use the cubes everyday, I am happy to have 2 trays and I keep them going all the time. In one tray, I use filtered water and use those cubes mostly for iced coffee drinks. In the other tray, I put brewed Tazo Passion tea and I use those cubes in my iced tea. I find the trays sturdy enough and the best thing is that the rim is extra solid and stiff so you can easily carry the tray with liquid over to the freezer. Came with lids also. The lower part is softer silicone so you can invert the frame and get the ice cube out. Of course, this large of an ice cube affects the quantity of your drink so you might need to adjust your choice of glass to get the amount of liquid you want. However I will also say that when I don't adjust my cup choice and therefore have a lot of ice cube versus not that much liquid, it tends to make an even tastier (but smaller) drink. Anyway - good product.

I have made numerous purchases, trying to find the right large cube trays for drinks. These are the best I own. First, the cubes are larger than most so they last longer. The silicone trays are flexible enough to easily remove cubes, but are rigid enough that they don’t collapse carrying the unfrozen filled trays to the freezer. The lid snaps on and stays on the tray while they are in the freezer, and unlike the expensive “clear” cube trays, these trays takes up much less freezer space and freeze solid overnight.

I use this to freeze my homemade salsa or charro beans. I like the portion sizes and they’re easy to pop out. I wanted to use for those kind of things, remove them and place in baggies in the freezer, and then use the molds for ice. However, these retain the strong smells of salsa, so I don’t want to use them for ice after all! That’s why I removed one star - they’re dedicated to Mexican food only now! Still a very good product. Not quite as sturdy as a different version I had, but sturdy enough.

Fantastic mold! The rim is reinforced so you can pick it up without the whole thing bowing and causing spillage. The bottom of the mold feels thin and flimsy, but amazingly, the walls hold just fine when setting it in the freezer. Then, when releasing the cubes from the mold, it all comes out solid, no little pieces sticking to the mold or breaking off from the main chunk. I’m using these to freeze things like butter, chocolates, juices, etc. for later quick use in recipes, and I could not be more pleased! The fact that each cube is 4oz. (1/2 cup) is a nice bonus for my purposes. Highly recommended!

I purchased these ice trays to use with a small portable air conditioner that has a reservoir to hold water and ice. The opening on the unit is not large enough to put in an ice pack, so ice was my only option. I didn't want to empty out our freezer entirely of ice, so this was an alternative that I figured I would try. The size of the cubes are great and perfect for what I am using it for. They ended up lasting much longer without melting due to the larger size and I don't have to raid the freezer all the time. The trays themselves seem to be pretty durable, however they tend to fold inside out when removing the cubes. While it's not a deal breaker, I do find it a bit annoying to have to turn them back right side out after each use. Silicone ice trays are always a bit flimsy when refilling and can require an extra bit of caution to not spill water everywhere, so I appreciate how these trays have a firm metal rim inside the top to give a bit of extra support. You just have to make sure that you are carrying them by that rim when transporting freshly refilled trays back to the freezer to avoid spillage. Overall, I think silicone ice trays themselves come with a few downsides, but for my purpose these ended up working great. Given the usual complications that typically comes with these trays, they have done quite well to avoid some of those issues by adding some reinforcement where needed and the overall quality is pretty good. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend checking them out if you are looking for something similar.
