Fix some latency and dropped connection issues with our Spectrum 1gb Service
We have 6 computers at home + phones, printers, Roku, smart TV's etc mostly on WiFi. When we upgraded to Spectrum 1gb internet service we also upgraded our personal modem. We started noticing some latency and drop connection issues across multiple devices and after some light reading and review of our model signal levels I decided to buy a signal attenuator pad. After trying the 6db connector my result seemed mixed but better so I decided to go with the 3db and this seems to be the perfect target. Modem now shows very minimal entries related to latency or connection and overall connection is super stable. For reference, i believe that spectrum already have one on the cable entering the house but I'm nor sure what's the DB rating on it. Although this thing may not work for anyone you should give it a try if you have issues.

Perfect for Getting VHF Sub-Channels Lost from Over-Powered Signal
Amazing. I got the Winegard amplified flat antenna, which brought in the missing channels I was needing... mostly. But for WSMV-TV (a VHF channel), I was only getting the main 4-1 (oddly showing as 4-10). The internet told me that this was likely because of OVER-powering from the amplifier. This 3db attenuation did the trick, bringing in the rest of the 4s while not losing any other channels. Great investment... even though I will never, ever watch those channels I battled to bring in!

Really made for TVs and Cable boxes only.
This is not the correct attenuator for a modem. While it decreases the Rx power by nearly what is advertised, it increases the Tx power by the same amount. I am giving it 5 stars because it works as advertised for the rated power reduction. I purchased a forward path attenuator and it did what was needed for a modem application.

Perfect value!
I purchased a few of these in different strengths because I've been dealing with my signal strength being too high and overloading my HDHomeRun tuner, and they've all been great! I had to stack multiple strengths to experiment and get to the right amount, and I'll probably buy another from this brand in the proper amount to have a single attenuator instead of a ridiculously long stack hanging off.

Just Remember that this attenuator attenuates both the upstream and the downstream power levels.
works well but remember its not a Forward Path Attenuator. it lowers your downstream power by 3db and will raise your upstream power by 3db. a forward path attenuator lowers only the downstream power level. a Return Path Attenuator raises only upstream power level.

Does the job.
I needed one of these along with a 6db to cool some hot radio signals coming from my FM Yagi. I am aimed at stations about 70 miles away but I have 2 stations 5 miles away and in the path. My radio was suffering an overloaded front end as a result but these fixed the problem.

It works
I had an issue with video pixelation on my TV/DVR and after investigation, determined my cable signal strength and signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio were too strong. With me, some experimentation was necessary to determine the right combination of dB to correct the issue. The 3 dB attenuator wasn't strong enough but I settled on using a 10 dB and 3 dB attenuator and found the sweet spot for my reception. Pixelation issues are gone and I now have a clean signal.

Works Perfectly!
Used this for my cable modem. my Upstream power levels were 37 dBmV but after installing this its now 40dBmV. i was experiencing packet loss previously but power levels are now perfect! cant recommend enough.
