It took me 45 minutes to get this to install. It's three steps: wait for the camera to make a sound, scan the QR code on the back of the camera, hold a QR code on your phone up to the camera. This third step I had to repeat at least a dozen times before it succeeded. It's a good design in abstract, but that third step needs some rethinking.And then... then they had the supreme arrogance to ask me to spend another $30--on top of the $284.63 I already spent for a product that I was dumb enough to assume worked together--so that I could see the video in the same app that opens/closes my garage door.Also, the $30 wasn't enough so that my wife could see the video on her phone in the main app. She can only see it in the separate iSmartGate Cam app. What a rip-off.I would not purchase this product again. The only reason I kept at it is because I hate returning stuff even more. Besides, I work in tech, I should be able to figure out poorly designed tech products. Which is the case here. Poorly designed, I figured it out.

Got this camera for my GoGoGate garage door opener. I used the GoGoGate opener for about a year, then wanted to add the camera, because sometimes my garage door tries to close, but stops, and the app tells me its closed when it really isnt. Now, I have a camera image feed that is very easy to determine if the garage door is open or closed. Setup and install was very easy and painless. Was up and running in about 15 minutes from opening the package.
