Has anyone used these and their dog seemed worse after taking them ?

Hello Dawn, and thanks for your question. The Antioxidant Treats generally initiate a detoxification process in the pets using them. Depending on the issue, some pets may experience a "worse -before-better" stage, as toxic build-up is being eliminated. It is a Herxheimer Effect. Generally, the more compromised the animal was previously, the more intense this effect will be. People use our Treats to address a wide range of issues in their pets. Most of the time, pets will only show a little of this effect. If there is a more intense effect, it could be an indicator of a deeper issue internally. Hello, and thanks for your question. The Antioxidant Treats are a Whole-food supplement with a few added vitamins and minerals for support. The primary ingredient in the Treats enables the natural production of enzymes. While the primary enzyme production involves Antioxidant Enzymes, Digestive enzyme production is also enhanced. At the outset, your pet may eliminate more than before, but that should level out after a short while.

Does this contain copper?

Hello, and thanks for your question. The Antioxidant treats have NO added copper as an ingredient. The sprouted Granules used as a primary ingredient in the Treats have a tiny bit of inherent copper as a trace mineral, but the levels are miniscule. The range is 6 to 20 ppm. The Sprouted Granules comprise less than 50% of a Treat.

are these as effective as the granules by themselves? I didnt really see any improvement with just these at a month.

Never used the granules. But, the Nzymes tablets along with Pethonesty turmeric curcumin chews fed together has made a truly unbelievable difference in our senior mini schnauzer. I highly recommend both.
