Wow and wow. I have hatched eggs since I was a kid but theres more importance to it now since Im raising my own food. If you dont want to be dependent on farm stores for your re-population of chickens you need a dependable incubator. While I have been successful or lucky one with even old home made styrafoam incubators, the more I am getting expensive eggs now, the more Id like to rely on science instead of luck. This machine is amazing and so accurate. Many incubators just have you fill a bowl with water and its often a struggle to get humidity high enough. This machine is so precise, it litterally deposits one drop of water at a time. It gets to temp and humidity really fast to. While instructions say to allow 24 for it to stabilize, this thing hit temp and humidity withing 2 hours and never waivered. Humidity may waiver a few degrees so if it was supposed to be 50 to 60, set mine for 55. I placed 10 Indian runner eggs that were shipped to me on July 4th weekend and shipper didn't label them live animals. My eggs sat with the mail carrier over the weekend on a 100* heat wave. When I placed the eggs, only 6 started to develop. I removed the other 4, (not the fault of the incubator). And all 6 hatched!! Later I added 15 barnyard chicken eggs and all 15 hatched. These are phenomenal percentages. In the past, I was happy with 80%. This is an expensive machine but at least after spending all that money it performs well and the folks at Brinsea are very helpful. The machine may seem expensive until you count the time and money you invested in the eggs, not to mention the disappointment. I had an incubator with poor humidity control, and it was heartbreaking to get little ducks within 5 days of hatching and then watch them go black, one by one.

I am a small scale chicken farmer, breeding chickens, selling eggs and meat birds. I was told to buy this by a fellow chicken farmer. I regret the purchase. It only works as well as my $70 incubator. My first 2 hatches in this Brinsea were 40-50% hatch rate. My 3rd, zero hatched. ZERO!? Hmmm. So I put a Govee Hydro thermometer into the Brinsea to start my 4th batch, and found why my 3rd was unsuccessful. Both the temp and RH on the Brinsea suddenly became wildly inaccurate. My Brinsea temp is colder than the displayed temp by 1.3 degrees- enough to ruin a hatch. The humidity is also 11% higher than shown on the display. It also needs to be taped with electrical tape all around it in order to hold the humidity in, especially during Lock Down. Unfortunately this causes condensation to leak out of the seam between top lid and bottom base, so I got a nice little water outline on the table underneath the machine. One of these factors is enough to ruin a hatch. All these factors combined is a huge bummer for the cost. I would not buy this expensive, average performing machine again. The ability to control settings with my phone is not worth the money. I only give this machine 2 stars, because IF I was trying to hatch and did not work from home, the wifi at least give me control away from the machine…but I work from home and check my incubators many times a day. Using a Govee Hydro Thermometer inside my generic Chinese WonEgg incubator has given me better success. I am shopping for a 3rd incubator so I can hatch weekly, and will not buy this one again.

Was going to order direct from Brisnea then found it on Amazon. Brisnea’s shipping is really expensive but got this product a lot cheaper here and free shipping. Saved a lot of money. Hooked it up and used it right after it arrived and worked great.Still having a little problem with humidity control but will try to get that worked out. Temperature is staying constant and my first eggs just started hatching.

I couldn't get the wifi to work even with their help but the customer service was amazing and they went above and beyond trying to get it up and running. I will continue to support them and their products.

Great product works great. If you want a trouble free incubator for years this is what i would purchase again.
