Works great, but give it time
I started using Iberogast for ongoing stomach discomfort, mainly bloating and occasional indigestion. The most important thing to know before buying is that this is not an instant fix. After about a week of consistent use, I started to clearly feel the positive effect. My digestion felt calmer, bloating was reduced, and overall stomach comfort improved noticeably. Once it kicked in, the results were very good. The liquid form is easy to take, though the herbal taste is strong (not terrible, but noticeable). For me, the effectiveness outweighed that easily. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a gentle, herbal solution and you’re willing to use it consistently for several days, Iberogast works very well. If you expect immediate relief after the first dose, you might be disappointed — patience pays off here. Recommended for: people with ongoing digestive issues Not ideal for: those looking for instant, same-day relief

Takes a few weeks to be effective but works
After finally getting a diagnosis of gastroparesis my GI doc recommended trying Iberogast. I've been taking it for a month now and am feeling quite a bit better. Cured? No. A whole lot better? You bet. You won't get immediate results so don't expect it to work like an antacid helps to knock down a heartburn attack. Be patient. I admit that the flavor is pretty awful - I'd describe it as spoiled bourbon. But it's down in a quick swallow. Using it before each meal works well but at 60 drops every day it gets pricey. Overall, this has made a big difference in the way I feel and process the food I eat.

Taste like bark
I have encountered the most unpleasant-tasting supplement to date. The flavor profile is reminiscent of tree bark or willow. I attempted to mix it with water or juice, but the taste remained unpalatable. Furthermore, I find the scent to be disagreeable. Although it provided temporary relief from nausea, I subsequently experienced adverse effects.
