I am caffeine sensitive so I’m always on the hunt for yummy decaf drinks. This stuff is delicious!! I love the taste of Tim Horton’s French vanilla cappuccinos but can’t handle all the caffeine, well this stuff tastes just like it if not better.

For reference, I normally grind my whole beans fresh before brewing and normally use brewers like the Hario switch or V60. I usually take my coffee like my single malt scotch, straight and I'm very finicky about the beans I buy. Having said that, there are times when I'm rushed or can't be bothered with all of the faffing around, and just want a tasty, caffeinated drink. With that in mind, I bought the sugar-free 3 pack. Came with 2 French vanilla and one double Mocha. Most connoisseurs of specialty coffee will probably turn their noses up at this, but for me, it has its place. Taste-wise, I must say that I found it more than acceptable, to the point where I actually enjoy it. Price-wise, as of this writing, a single tub costs a little over $4 and yields 23 12oz servings. Your typical cup of coffee is 5oz, so you're actually getting 55 standard cups per tub. That comes out to around 8 cents per cup. Ridiculous value. Convenience-wise, not a lot to complain about, however I do have 2 minor gripes. First, I'm not a fan of the thin mylar that they use to seal the package. I have found shiny pieces of it in the tub, sitting on top of the mix. Only happened once and I've since been very vigilant when making a cup. Secondly, while most of the mix dissolves completely in the hot water, I find that it is prone to lumping. Small clumps of mix float to the top without being completely integrated. To resolve this, I put everything in a leak proof flask and stir it vigorously. Problem solved but one more dish to wash (I don't trust flip-top flasks to be leak-proof but love their convenience for drinking in the car). No point comparing it to my daily pour over. They are not in the same category. As someone who's a bit of a coffee snob, this has managed to find and occupy a niche in my caffeinated life.

First tried this in Orlando in 2013 and loved it, tried most of the different flavours. Purchased online since been back in uk. Costs more but well worth it. Best Cappuccino ever
