When I ordered this I did not realize it was a mini panettone although I should have known that because of how inexpensive it was! This is enough for two people if you just cut it in half. It is good with a little butter. I did not break out because this must not have very much palm oil in it. I got two more arriving today and my husband loves this cake bread! I can see myself ordering this a lot in the future! It is so delicious! Usually this is a holiday treat once a year but it really is worth having more often!!! ~The Rebecca Review

Gran Panettone is one of my absolute favorite fall/holiday foods. I started with the large one at Costco on a whim, and at first it was odd. Then we all got addicted - it was SO tender, and SO mildly sweet, and chewy, and orang-y and amazing. I noticed the "mini" panettone at Smith's a few nights ago for only $1.50 or so. I figured it was worth taking the chance to see if it MIGHT stand up to the larger one. I was afraid it would be dry since the overall size is so much smaller and it cooks for a long time. It wasn't! :) It was still moist and tender and WONDERFUL. SO, I took a chance and ordered a mini one online despite mixed reviews. I received it today, and first checked to make sure it was not expired. It wasn't! Good until mid 2025. Then I opened it. It was a dark color, just like the good one from Smith's, but the similarities stopped there. The texture of THIS one was dry and more crumbly instead of moist and tender. Definitely a disappointment. I don't know if this provider simply stores them differently, but whatever they do, it creates a downgrade. Don't let this one stop you from getting one from Costco or a grocery store... They really are amazing if made and stored right. But I wouldn't get one from this provider. Not worth the $1.50 to try to get a refund.

It’s a wee bit dry but fits the bill when I want a pre measured treat. Not the best panettone I’ve had but the price works atm

A tasty breakfast or coffee time treat, at a very good price -- I paid $1.49. While larger panettones might be moister inside because there is more inside inside, this is moist enough. It's a very good small sweet -- somewhere between cake and bread. Being delicious, they are, of course, fattening, 270 calories, about the same as a muffin of the same size. The candied fruit was fresh and soft. If you're not worried about cholesterol, you can heat it and add butter. One caution, the little box was packed loosely with two heavy items and got crushed, but the panettone inside was not crushed. That's an Amazon problem, how they pack things, but you can try to circumvent it by not ordering heavy things with baked goods. BTW, I am also from an Italian family, and I also know a good panettone when I see/taste it.
