The time of the chime plus melody and volume is also an option in the initial set up. Unfortunately I would not recommend this product, as after only using it for about a month it developed a fault. The chime and alarm kept sounding even when there was nothing to set it off. These can have many tunes and can be made to ring more than once for each detection. We have purchased an add on unit to detect another area. Each unit can have a different tune and more than one activation of the tune chosen when there is detection. Some of the tunes could be better as some go on to long. UPDATE after 2 weeks use the batteries on the main unit are flat (used energiser max). It will work out too expensive to use on battery.
